I can’t believe today I am having a hysterectomy at the age of 40. I can’t believe I will never be able to carry a child. I can’t believe I may have cancer. I can’t believe the way this last year I’ve lived. However what I will always believe in is the power of Jehovah God. He causes to become and I am leaving today in His hands for when I am weak I am powerful. I’ll be back and I’ll be better. Love all my EPIC people and to my beautiful students: no worrying today. I’ve taken you all on my spiritual journey with me and you already know prayer is powerful. Hold that down.

EPIC FAM…. The incomparable Erica Ford Her heart and energy was exactly what I always imagined it to be. She is the embodiment of community advocacy and culture (specifically hip hop culture) If you don’t know you better ask somebody. A true honor to meet someone I looked up to since I was a kid. 🙏🏽

It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of the grandmother of Kalea: Level 1 Lead teacher and newly high school graduate off to college in a few days. Her grandmother passed a week before the show after a hard battle with cancer. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE WE BEG THAT OUR EPIC FAMILY & SUPPORTERS FIND IT IN THEIR HEARTS TO GIVE A LITTLE OR A LOT! Her dying wish was to be buried in her homeland of Costa Rica and the family is having a hard time to come up with such funds on such short notice. Remember Jesus said: “there is more happiness in giving” So please give what you can. ❤️ PLEASE SHARE THIS POST! .leaa._ did amazing with the Level 1 students and slayed the stage at her last EPIC SHOW. Let’s send her off to college knowing she will always have EPIC FAMILY to support her. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 Please reach out to Kalea’s mom for personal donations as well 🫶🏽

This work is hard, but so gratifying to see God at work. Thank you to the entire EPIC Family: parents, veteran students, volunteers, staff, pda, our wonderful creative dance educators and the most important ones of all: EVERY SINGLE LAST EPIC STUDENT!!! You are the heart and soul of everything we fight to do. Just when they think youth are deaf and blind EPIC proves them wrong every single time. We never claimed to be perfect, we just know we care. Thank you to such an adventurous ride this year. It has only made us stronger and I can’t wait to show you all what we have in store for our 15th Anniversary season that kicks off July 15th. No! We’re not lucky we’re blessed! YES! Until next time 🙏🏽
