Our SPRING EVENT will be anchored by Diana Oh “Zaza D”’s (@ohyeahdiana) ‘Art Chxrch’: Oh’s Underground Binaural Beat Brain Massage Dance Party for discretes, creatives, and introverts. Initially thrown out of their Warehouse apartment, we are excited to welcome them in offering this service for our community. One part aural orchestrated performance another part guided meditation. Art Chxrch creates a space for Brain Massage, Play, Our Ease, Binaural Beat Dance, Stretching, Introverted Corners to Honor those with Neurodivergent Needs, and Introverted Corners to Acknowledge Pauses of Kindness. One can think of Art Chxrch as a Dance Party for (burnt out) Artists and Humans to unburn themselves. Art Chxrch is where Artists and Humans remember who they are again.

ABOUT THE SHOW: A frenzied rant of online logic delivered outside an inflatable mausoleum, Nile Harris' 'this house is not a home' surrounds a bounce castle purchased by Harris' friend, interdisciplinary artist and filmmaker Trevor Bazile (born Miami, FL, 1996-2021). Over the course of the performance, the castle comes to represent an ephemeral monument, a besieged U.S. capital, and a simulacrum of hollow liberal care.
Earlier this year on June 24th, at the newly renovated La MaMa landmark building, PCC presented a celebration (we called it our wedding party!) to honor and showcase the collective artistry and leadership of the newly developing Artistic Leadership Team (ALT). An Extra Ordinary Afternoon is the first multidisciplinary event that emerged from the ALT’s process of coming together as a group; an immersive exploration of the questions of founder-specific leadership transition in the arts. The event served as a salon for leaders within the arts community to probe and experiment with questions about leadership itself. Performances highlighted past collaborators of the new ALT and new artists who reflect the newly developing curatorial platform. In many ways, An Extra Ordinary Afternoon made a statement regarding new artistic directions while paying homage to PCC’s vibrant history.
Throughout PCC's fifty-year legacy, one thing has been consistent – YOU, our community of members and supporters. Our community has shown up for us time and time again. As we're about to embark on a new year, we're calling on folks like you to help sustain PCC for the long haul in service of a just, loving, and liberated future for artists of color. However you show your support, thank you! We see you and appreciate you.
As part of radically imagining PCC's future, our 5-person Artistic Leadership Team, all of whom are artists, producers, and administrators with deep connections to PCC, is boldly building innovative examples of collective leadership. We are navigating an in-depth, multi-year exploration of the company structure, and identifying the vision and generative work that will define PCC’s next era. As we move forward, we are guided by our commitment to honoring Ping’s legacy and keeping artists at the core of what we do.
Given these exciting developments, we would love for you to consider a donation to Ping Chong and Company! Your support will help sustain our work and create a home where artists can build alternate realities, new possibilities and thrive. In Dieser Minute by Eva Rechlin
Our Founder and Artistic Director, Ping Chong, made this short video piece, In Dieser Minute by Eva Rechlin, this past May, for a ritual healing event that La MaMa held for AAPI Heritage month in response to anti-Asian violence.
We share this moment of reflection with you, at year-end, with hopes for peace and healing in the coming year.
