On , we share with you a special duplex apartment carved from a landmark brownstone in Clinton Hill.

When the new owners came to us, their wish was to weave heritage and story into the family home they were building. We found inspiration in the shared vernaculars of 19th-century Shanghai and the local architectural landscape - a dynamic and robust mix of cultural elements. Traditional Chinese timber components such as carved wooden doors, latticework, and panels layered with decorative glass and intricate tiling to shape a primary suite, free from temporal and geographical boundaries.
