Wrapping up our work at this year's 78th annual United Nations General Assembly Week was the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s annual Goalkeepers event. Held at New York's Jazz at Lincoln Center, over 700 guests attended two days of thought leadership programming, scientific innovation, expert panels, musical performances and recognition of leaders driving progress on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Among this year's many notable participants were Prime Minister Fumio Kishida of Japan, President William Ruto of Kenya, Prime Minister Alexander De Croo of Belgium, Bill Gates, Melinda French Gates, Phoebe Gates, Karlie Kloss, Jon Batiste, Zara Larsson, Tiwa Savage, Cynthia Erivo, Sallie Krawcheck, Padma Lakshmi, Lilly Singh, and many more.

At this week’s 78th Annual United Nations General Assembly, Empire was honored to work with the UN Office for Partnerships, Project Everyone, Es Devlin studio and many more to produce an SDG pavilion to present programming associated with the
Sustainable Development Goals - often referred to as “humanity’s to do list“. The Es Devlin-designed pavilion featured a series of monoliths, each representing one of the SDG’s, and each containing an experiential exhibit, while the interior of the space was completely planted with living trees and greenery. The SDG pavilion presented 17 unique programs relating to various aspects of the SDG’s including a ‘Half Time Show’ marking the mid-point of the Goals’ 15 year timeline. The programming featured a wide range of presenters and participants including the Secretary General and Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations, current & former heads of state including Justin Trudeau, Mia Mottley, Jacinda Ardern and Gordon Brown, artists & entertainers, including Yo-Yo Ma, Orlando Bloom, Diane von Furstenberg, Lilly Singh, Angelique Kidjo, and Natalie Portman, philanthropists & activists including Melinda French Gates, Richard Curtis, María Ressa and so many more.

Last week, Empire was thrilled to support Pratt Industries to produce the Grand Opening of their new 100% Recycled Paper Mill & Box Factory in Henderson, KY. The event featured Pratt Executive Chairman, Anthony Pratt, Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear, U.S. Ambassador to Australia, Caroline Kennedy, Australian Ambassador to the U.S. Kevin Rudd, Lonnie Ali, and numerous dignitaries, and media. Guests toured the facility and heard from a series of speakers before the unveiling of a commemorative plaque. The program also included a performance by the 14 time Grammy Award Winning Dan Tyminski Band.

Zac Brown Band thrilled a corporate group in Las Vegas last night performing some of their biggest hits, including fan favorites “Toes” and “Chicken Fried”. Empire presented the GRAMMY winner who also played some incredible covers like “Into The Mystic”, “Layla”, and even the Beastie Boys’ “Sabotage”.
