We’re thrilled to announce that several members of our team have been training to become independent consultants to Oceanic Global’s Blue Standard and Helen Driesen has officially been certified!

Blue is a first-of-its-kind cross-industry standard that creates universal accountability and helps businesses and industries reduce single-use plastics, improve the sustainability of their operations, and achieve a measurable impact that protects our blue planet.

Telemundo’s 2023 Celebration earned a GOLD award in the live or virtual event category! The night’s theme, “Come With Us,” was brought to life through a presentation featuring characters walking offscreen as live actors burst onstage in the same costumes. The show featured futbol tricks, tons of dancing, and for the grand finale, the stage filled with all thirty actors – five of whom were children – dancing together. An explosive pop of confetti was the icing on the cake, and the night ended with an intimate and high-energy performance by award-winning reggaeton singer-songwriter and producer, Nicky Jam. We’re so grateful for our partnership with Telemundo!

Screenvision’s 2023 Upfront earned a PLATINUM award in the Live or Virtual Event category! We worked with Screenvision to bring their guests into a movie theater – popcorn included – by setting our stage and screen 20 feet above the apron of the Hammerstein Ballroom’s built-in stage. We used rear projection to mask the area behind the movie screen, which was set up as a banquet hall. When the lights changed, the hall was revealed, and guests were invited to dance the night away and enjoy a performance by Busta Rhymez. Thank you, Screenvision!

The American Heart Association’s 2024 Red Dress Collection Concert earned a PLATINUM award in the Special Events category! This year’s Jazz at Lincoln Center concert featured musical performances by Mickey Guyton and Demi Lovato, a star-studded fashion show, and inspirational stories from women affected by heart disease. We’re honored to help AHA create this beautiful combination of red-carpet glamour and women’s health advocacy year after year!

From the desk of President & Partner Jeremy Driesen: Staying in business is hard, and it’s amazing to me that 2024 marks 70 years for RBP. We’ve been producing events longer than any other independently-owned company in the United States. We live in a very different world now from the one our company’s founders lived in 70 years ago, but our philosophy has stayed the same: put the client first and trust that good fortune will follow. I credit much of our longevity to the freedom we give our team. During my first interview, it came up that I was a working drummer. My little drumming empire was modest, but it was my little empire. I was interested in the job, but I didn’t know if I was ready to give up what I’d built as a working musician. Luckily, I was never asked to, and I’m still in touch with then-president Frank Dickson, the man who hired me. He’s the son of one of our founders and still a go-to guy for me when I need wise and experienced counsel. I think RBP was ahead of its time in treating employees having a life outside of work as an asset. Our team today is made up of people with a passion – music, art, athletics, travel – and we encourage them to pursue it. How can you tell someone else’s story when you don’t have one yourself? All this is to say thank you. Thank you for keeping us around for 70 incredible years, and hopefully many more to come. Other notable anniversaries in 2024: My parents got married the same year that RBP was founded and they are also celebrating their 70th anniversary this year.
