New York Times-bestselling author of Black Klansman, Ron Stallworth returns with The Gangs of Zion—another firsthand account of trailblazing police work in the most unlikely place for a Black cop in the ’90s.

Stallworth has worked undercover narcotics, vice, criminal intelligence, and organized crime beats in four states. In 1978, he worked undercover and infiltrated the Ku Klux Klan chapter in Colorado Springs. During the months-long investigation, Stallworth sabotaged cross burnings, exposed white supremacists in the military, and even befriended and served on the security detail for David Duke.

The first Black dectective in the history of the Colorado Springs Police Department, Ron Stallworth offers insights on the intersections of race and law enforcement. In his talks, Stallworth tells the story of his K*K infiltration, touching on his motivations, doubts, fears, and triumphs throughout the process.

"A highly competitive auction has been raging for weeks over adaptative rights to S.A. Cosby’s forthcoming novel “King of Ashes,” and we have a winner.

Netflix, Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Entertainment and Barack and Michelle Obama’s Higher Ground emerged victorious over as many as 11 competing bids, multiple sources familiar with the deal told Variety. Amblin and Higher Ground will develop the book – described as a family crime drama — as a TV series, with Netflix backing."
