Roughly 16 months after tolls were increased on New Jersey's two major toll roads, they will again go up, this time by 3% on Jan. 1.

The use of ma*****na was legalized for adults in New York State on March 31, 2021.

Due to the change in the law, going forward, the TLC will no longer test for ma*****na in required annual drug tests. Testing for other drugs will remain the same, as will the annual testing schedule.

While the use of ma*****na is now legal for adults, it is still the law that TLC-licensed Drivers must be sober when they operate a vehicle. It is illegal and dangerous to drive while under the influence of ma*****na or other drugs. Drivers and passengers are also prohibited from smoking any substance when they are driving or riding in a TLC-licensed vehicle. If you experience difficulties with passengers who do not obey these TLC rules, please advise us by emailing details to the TLC at [email protected].

Driving while intoxicated—whether from alcohol, ma*****na, or any other substance—is dangerous and can lead to erratic and risky driving behavior that could harm you or others.
