Few things are as beautiful as fall in New York. When choosing which side of the courtyard to face for ceremony E+D fell in love with the idea of having a beautiful tree behind them. We adorned the tree in with ribbon and hearts, inside of which were the couple’s initials.

Pro tip: choose to do speeches the night before, or at least the bulk of them. Serve a family style dinner so there isn’t pressure when a speech runs long (as they often do). Invite people from all aspects of your life to speak and make it the main event.

When we chose a curved aisle we didn’t know it would have this unintended benefit.

As Abbe + Stephen processed and recessed they said the curved aisle allowed them to see and pass by close to more people.

They said it helped to create this special moment even more intimate and warm.
