Capturing Kaili was a true pleasure — she has the timeless beauty of a young Katherine Hepburn and an independent spirit to match. A force in the film industry as a talented set decorator, she fell into acting through friends’ projects and landed at Cannes with her debut film, The Sweet East. Unique, authentic, and entirely herself — there’s nothing artificial about her. So grateful for this shoot!

I knew I had found my spirit animal when Marco shared that his favorite performance of all time is Al Pacino in Dog Day Afternoon! He grew up in Florida and made his way to the Big Apple to attend NYU’s prestigious acting school (no small feat to get into that program!). But what I’ll always remember about Marco was his superhuman patience and understanding when, during his session, I had catastrophic camera failure and had to send him home in an Uber. Oy, I was horrified! I ended up needing to buy a brand new camera. Marco came back a week later and nailed his shoot. Marco, I can’t thank you enough for being such a gentleman about it. Al Pacino would be proud!

Introducing Lyjerria! This Timothy Chalamet fan would love to be cast in offbeat horror flicks like Get Out. I thought she looks like a young Vivica Fox. We went for school girl (she can play 16-23, even though she’s a mature 27), young professional, young Latina mom, and fresh and feminine. She was amazing in front of the camera, bringing a strong, dramatic energy but able to rock a warm, inviting smile. Her story is like out of a Hollywood movie. She drove to Los Angeles with her cat, slept in the car at night, and hit the pavement during the day looking for an agent. She signed with one! That’s called being hungry, ladies and gentlemen. She wants this, and she deserves it. We’ll be watching, Lyjerria!

Wow. Just wow. Camden is all of 11 years old but has the command and maturity of a person much beyond his years. I was floored both by his professionalism and his ability to convey a wide range of feelings. Very unusual for a boy his age! And I’m not the only one taking notice. He’s already appeared in the The Public’s production of A Raisin in the Sun and is currently finishing up a 9-month stint in the Broadway revival of Camelot. What’s next? He gets to go home to Tennessee for a much needed break before setting his sights on television. There’s no question he’ll go far! Not only is he deeply gifted but he impressed me with his southern manners!

James Duncan is a late blooming actor and a first timer to the headshot process but his eyes sear through every pic! You might be too young to recognize the resemblance but he reminds me a lot of George Kennedy, a great character actor in the 1960s and beyond. James is proof that it’s never too late to chase a dream and that hidden talents can be tapped into and nurtured at any age. I see him playing blue collar, white collar, and all the collars! He’s teeming with talent!

Masally nailed it with a nice range of types that she can add to her Backstage profile. These are just two of her best but there were many more!
