This year world leaders will gather together at the United Nations for the Ocean Conference to discuss for the first time ever the future of our Oceans. Millions of people and organizations care deeply about the oceans and will stand together for their protection. These are the voices that will be raised at World Ocean Festival 2017. World Ocean Festival is dedicated to advocating for action on a

global scale for the implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 14, which aims to promote conservation and sustainable use of the world's oceans. The inaugural World Ocean Festival will kick-off the UN Ocean Conference week with a day of and special events in the streets and waters of NYC on Sunday, June 4. Join us at Governor Island in NYC and also join a first-of-its-kind “Ocean March” of boats around the island of Manhattan. Ocean supporters everywhere are encouraged to organize companion events in cities around the world. Come celebrate the power and beauty of our oceans and the urgent need to take action to preserve and protect them. This is an initiative of the Global Brain Foundation, hosted by the City of New York and in support of the United Nations Ocean Conference.
