We primarily make custom costumes, and our varied and talented staff specialize in such things as corsetry, silicone fabric modifications and vegan costuming. We have a bunch of rescue cats who tend to dictate daily operations and bring humor and perspective to the frequent high pressure deadlines. They have their own instagram called costume_shop_cats. In business 29 years so far, and counting....
Our latest venture is creating educational videos so that we can share our techniques with everyone out there. Our YouTube channel ‘Little Green Snake’ is being loaded with short videos on such methods as Chainmail knitting- by machine, including painting, foiling and sewing together, Rubberama, the method we developed to create texture on stretch fabrics and bond fine silks together without sewing, also coming up will be our method of creating body pads (having lately made some 30 or so for Mrs Doubtfire), and any other tips and tricks we can share to spread the word and make our methods available to a wider audience.
