J2Food — This is 2020 👨🏼🍳
It’s been a wild year! We started the year off with catering events including Winter Pop Up Foodie Shabbat and events, Valentine’s Day Shabbrunch, plus an inspirational foodie trip through South America. Then the world came to a stop. No events. No dinners to cater. No foodie Shabbats. What would we do?
In March, J2Food pivoted to individual and family meal delivery. It was a bit of a trial and error at the beginning — we were especially swamped with Passover, which was both a blessing and super stressful. But, it proved that we could do this and we’ve now carved out our own niche as a fresh, creative and delicious meal delivery program throughout the NYC metropolitan area, delivering to homes, offices, hospitals, etc. Plus, you can catch Chef Jon on our “Cooking Under Quarantine” series or leading special cook alongs for various groups for Thanksgiving, Hanukkah and more. Plus, J2 had the opportunity to cater a small, intimate, rooftop wedding at the end of the summer.
So what’s coming up for J2Food in 2021? More cooking classes and episodes of “Cooking Under Quarantine”, interactive cook alongs — our next one is January 25th for Tu B’Shevat! We’ll also be continuing our Meal Delivery program featuring local, seasonal ingredients, and a weekly updated menu. Plus, we’ll be expanding our delivery program to include BRUNCH! Our brunch menu will feature classic J2Food brunch dishes like Everything But the Bagel Frittata, Chipotle Cheddar and Scallion Hash Browns, French Toast Bread Pudding and more. These dishes will be prepped and cooked in advance, ready for you to heat up at home. Yum! So be on the lookout for our upcoming menus, cooking classes, and special holiday packages.
