The DIY Bouquet Bar is back tomorrow, Saturday June 1st!

Hi everyone! We finally got some fantastic weather this weekend in Newark DE and just in time for some fun events.
The Newark Arts Alliance is having their annual Newark Garden Tour.
This tour is tomorrow, Saturday, June 1st, from 10am-3pm and features some beautiful gardens in the Newark area.
I will have my Posy Cart for DIY bouquets at the Newark Arts Alliance Gallery shop, which is just up the street at the Shoppes At Louviers.

Please stop by to say hi, grab a bouquet and check out the tour. I will be wrapping all bouquets with a water packet so they will survive the day if you aren't going straight home.
Here is info for the garden tour - this is one of our fund raisers for the Newark Arts Alliance. We are a non-profit, mostly run by volunteers. All proceeds go to the NAA.

We had a fantastic time yesterday at our Bouquets And Bubbly event at The Little Treasure Shoppe.
Had a steady line of customers all day long. Made over 50 bouquets!

Welcome to the Posy Parlor!

Fresh flowers are hard to find Newark Delaware. We no longer have a florist on Main Street and there's only one other florist in town.

I wanted to make it easier for people to have a place where they can stop by and grab some fresh flowers that were not your regular grocery store flowers.

We are just getting started so please stop by for weekly updates.
Our first location is at The Little Treasure Shoppe in Newark, DE.
We have fine art floral photography, floral greeting cards, fresh flowers, beautiful floral books, hand painted floral wine glasses, jewelry and so much more!
In May we will be at the Newark Arts Alliance as well. We will have fresh flowers for sale in the gallery at al art opening events, which happens once a month and we will have our Posy Bar at the Garden Tour on June 1st.

This piece by Coral Guest is of the bulbous perennial, Lilium longiflorum, otherwise known as the 'Easter lily' or 'trumpet lily'.⁠

With a jewell-like sheen on the leaves and a confident jut of elegant flowers, the lily stands regally at the centre of the page. Coral has painted with exquisite detail, mastering the use of green and white, two notoriously challenging colours. It's a strong, breathtaking, piece.⁠

◽️About Coral: Coral Guest’s work has redefined the traditional practice of the Observational Flower Painter. Pioneering techniques for the Botanical Art genre, she studied Fine Art at Chelsea College of Art, London, receiving the Chelsea Drawing Prize and Travel Scholarship, thereafter training in large brush calligraphy at Seitai-ji Temple, Yamanashi, Japan. In 2018, Coral was commissioned to paint the 1000th painting for the Shirley Sherwood Collection. Her work is also held in the Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge and the RHS Lindley Library.⁠
