For those who are celebrating, “Heri za Kwanzaa!” or “Happy Kwanzaa!”

Kwanzaa is an African American and pan-African holiday which celebrates family, community and culture. Created in 1966 by Dr. Maulana Karenga, the seven-day cultural festival, begins December 26 and ends January 1.

During the holiday, families and communities organize activities around the Nguzo Saba (The Seven Principles): Umoja (Unity), Kujichagulia (Self-Determination), Ujima (Collective Work and Responsibility), Ujamaa (Cooperative Economics), Nia (Purpose), Kuumba (Creativity) and Imani (Faith). Each day focuses on a different principle.

It’s that time of year again! The best month of year is July! My birthday month and let’s face it summer time. Our 8th annual Boatride will be themed with 90s throwback with pajamas. We are providing food, bus ser to avoid drinking and driving and the best music in the Hudson valley. We saw a lot of creativity with outfits and want to see who will win the prizes. We have a surprise guest coming along and sis more DJs coming along. We will keep the price point the same as always despite the inflation going on.
