Hands down, without a doubt, our MOST asked question when it comes to gown shopping 👆 Our answer is pretty simple: first, given the timeline of made-to-order wedding gowns, you need to give yourself at least six months to order your gown. But to approach your gown shopping in a way that makes sense and relieves stress, here’s what we suggest:
Shop for your gown after you’ve booked your venue, but before you’ve committed to any of the design elements to your day. Booking your venue first established so much critical wedding information that’s helpful to know when you shop: time of year, setting, indoor/outdoor, etc. It will also solidify your date, which will tell us if we have any limitations in choosing your gown, or if a a rush will be required.
And as for design decisions, you want your town to inspire the look of the wedding…not the other way around. So many times we se brides who have ordered non-refundable bridesmaid dresses, only to fall in love with a dress that don’t quite work.
