Next stop in our travels was the beautiful island of Sardinia. This trip we focused on the northeast part of the island. Great beaches, great food, great people and great shopping makes Sardinia one of our favorite destinations. Our journey started in picturesque town of Cala Gonone. We rented our own boat and visited the beach's of Cala Goloritze, Cala Marilou and Cala Luna. We would anchor the boat, swim to shore and enjoy life beachside. It was truly like living in a movie.
Our next destination was Porto Cervo however being the beach bums we are we made a pit stop at Cala brandinchi and Lu impostu 2 of the top rated beaches in the world. Lunch in Olbia let us stumble upon Sandal Amalia where they hand make sandals for you in 30 minutes.
Porto Cervo and Costa Smeralda lived up to the hype. Amazing food and views and all the best excess of luxury that you could imagine. The only place in the world where Gucci, Hermes, and LV have hours similar to Walmart and target. 10am-12am. 3 more beaches visited. Cala di volpe, Nikki beach, Porto liscia. Porto liscia was amazing. There were maybe 4 of us at the beach at any point of the day. A short 2 minute drive took us to Rupi's beach bar where we were entertained with live music, windsurfers and cold b**r. .
A short layover in Naples to celebrate a birthday before we headed home. As much as I hate Naples airport I love the city. It doesn't get to be something it's not. Real, raw, loud, fun, Naples.
6 days, 9 beaches, 819,072 calories, 40,000,000 steps and infinite memories. Traveled during late July, early August. Being from NY we did not notice anything over crowded due to the holiday season.
