Today officially starts the teen years . However, if you ask she we might tell you we've been living them for a 100 years already. Three girls in their teens what could go wrong Lol.

Please join us in wishing miss Amai. A very happy 13th birthday. She said I should not post an embarrassing picture of her so I decided not to narrow to one so I figured I would do a few because she never said I couldn't do more than one.
In all seriousness, it's great to watch her grow into her own personality. At 13 she can cook better than most adults. She can drive a boat. She can do laundry and she does her chores without being asked. Well. Three out of four isn't bad. Cheers to another great year, muffin.

Sixteen years ago you arrived on this planet and our lives have never been the same. You march to the beat of your own drum yet find a way to connect with everyone. In a world that sometimes seems so full of hate, you are always full of love. As a parent there are too many pitfalls and hurdles to count. However, you make life easy for us and I thank you for that. You are an amazing woman and a child I wish every parent had. You never back down from a challenge, understand that hard work isn't always glamorous yet you always have a smile that can light up an entire room. You have the discipline to do the tasks you don't like with the same energy and attention of the things you really enjoy.
Your outlook on life and people are well beyond your years. While you excel at the seriousness of school work and athletics you also find the balance to be a kid, to be silly and enjoy life.
Know always that you are loved. I am so grateful for you today, and every day. I am grateful for your laughter, for your making me laugh, for your stories and sharing little parts of your life with me, for your silly texts, for all those things you do that make my days better. You have changed my life in so many ways, and made this journey so much more amazing than I could ever have imagined. You are my hero, thank you for making me a better person. Happy Birthday my beautiful daughter, I love you more than words could ever express.

Good news good news. After 30 years I assume someone finally got around to looking at the vhs sizzle reel my mom made of my baseball highlights. I must be getting my call to the big leagues.
