The Events Internship at the John Hay Estate at The Fells will play an active role in facilitating all outside private events including weddings, memorial services, corporate outings and other private events. In addition, they will provide support for the ex*****on of John Hay Estate at The Fells Signature Events. The Internship is a paid hourly position with hours that typically run, Wednesday through Sunday, from June through October (we will accommodate the academic calendar if needed) not to exceed 40 hours per week.

Primary responsibilities include:

To assist in the oversight and facilitation of outside private events including weddings, memorial services, corporate outings and other private events; to also include The Fells signature events. Responsibilities to include:

Working with staff and outside vendors such as wedding planners, caterers, bartenders, and equipment rental firms to ensure that events are successful.

Be an additional staff member on site during all outside private events as the representative for the John Hay Estate at The Fells to oversee the use of the facilities and assist with any questions or issues.

Assist with set up, display & take down, helping with ex*****on during each event where needed.
