A snowy beach scene calls for white on white on white 🤍

Winter is truly one of my favorite times to visit the beach. The serenity is unmatched and I’ve always believed it makes for such a beautiful setting for a wedding.

While not a requirement, especially if you’ve had your heart set on something for a while, matching your wedding signage style to your venue makes everything feel cohesive. Do you think we hit the mark with this light and airy sign?

Your wedding day should be about you ✨

I loved creating this editorial style signage for S+D’s big day! It includes a little about the bride, groom, and them as a couple.

P.S - you can’t really tell from the photo but these signs are looped so guests could walk up and turn them to read more.

I am so grateful to have each of you following along on this business journey 🤍

Since there are some new faces, I thought I’d take a minute to share some facts about me:

• I love being at the beach (year round!). I grew up going to the beach almost every day in the summers and try to go as often as I can now.

• I went to school for nutrition and spent most of my career working in the field at Head Start programs spending time educating families and helping support the children’s growth and development.

• While most of my career was spent in nutrition, I have also held a few other titles… (I won’t bore you with the long list today).

• I love crafting of all sorts - my favorite at the moment is embroidery (I started around this time last year and have loved learning new stitches and exploring projects beyond the hoop). I also just got my grandmother’s sewing machine tuned up and am excited to get started on that!

We had to test it out, right? 📸

I loved creating this fun entrance to cocktail hour at the beautiful and seeing all of the guest’s photos! It was the perfect photo op before grabbing a cocktail at their outdoor bar.

Today marks ONE YEAR in business!

It was a year full of fun celebrations, creativity, and *many lessons learned and I am truly so grateful. I’m having a hard time believing it was already a year ago when I decided to file the paperwork and jump into building. Part of that might be due to the slow start (note to self, don’t start a seasonal business at the start of the off season haha) but I’m so happy with where things are now and where I am ending this first official year.

Thank you to everyone for following along with me on this journey. Your support means so much! I cannot wait to see what this next year (and beyond) brings!

Hi there! I wanted to take a minute to reintroduce myself:

I’m Alex, the owner of Joppa Event Designs + Rentals 🤍

With a 6 month old baby and a need for a creative outlet, I started this business to have an opportunity to work with my hands and share my many crafting hobbies all rolled into one place. Coming up on a year later and I’ve have the pleasure of being a small part in people’s baby showers, engagement parties, weddings, bridal showers, birthday parties, and more! I feel grateful for the opportunities I’ve had so far and know we’re only just getting started.
