Guess what! The Petal Patisserie will be attending Tradition Brewings Company's event, Cupid's Creative Afternoon on Saturday Feb 8th! ❤️🌸

Come visit our table between 1PM-5PM and DIY a Valentine's Day bouquet for your sweetheart or make a Flower Football for the Superbowl team you love the most 🏈

We'll have grab-n-go Valentine's arrangements filled with classic red roses, locally grown winter tulips, and more. Plus a bunch of other local vendors with fun V-Day activities will be there as well, Pottery Painting with Starving Artist Studio, Pet Portraits with T. Simone Design, and Sweet Treats from Cookies for Sweetie! What's not to love?!

Happy New Year! It's wild how the time flies and Season #1 of Flower farming has come to an end, and we're now moving into Season #2! We've got so many flowers waiting to bloom this Spring, some old and some new varieties. One of my resolutions this year is to improve my succession planting, so I've been busy sowing even more cool flowers this winter and planning a seed schedule for summer and fall.

And we've got some big plans in store for 2025, so keep an eye out for news updates from us soon! Our newsletter is available on our website with tons of goodies like flower growing tips, special offers, and updates about what's "growing on" in the flower fields. Check it out for more info 🗞️

The bow and the bells for my handmade wreath have finally arrived! I used gold bells and a gold and "Mocha Mousse" (the Pantone 2025 color of the year!) velvet bow. I love how it turned out, it makes our old artificial wreaths in our home look shabby and shameful 😆 I'll definitely be keeping the wreath frame and bow&bells to make a new live wreath every Christmas season, there's just no comparison! And it was so easy to create with the tutorial that provided to her community of FlowerMore members. Thank you Ellen!

Tip: If you don't have evergreens or holly in your landscape to cut from, you can use a few of the lower branches from a live Christmas tree if you've got one! Or buy from a local flower farm or Christmas tree farm for the foliage!

Interplanting experiment!

The stock is really happy sharing space with the lisianthus seedlings so far. Stock are single stemmed flowers, and lisianthus grow EXTREMELY slow and harvested during the summer, not Spring like stock, so I'm hoping they're a good pairing for this test. This could be a big win for small growers like me looking to maximize their space.

Has anyone else tried interplanting flowers? I'd love to hear if you found any other good pairings!

Spoiler alert: My hellebores had babies!!! 😍 I'm so excited for these beauties to grow into more gorgeous plants. I looove hellebores as a green filler flower in my arrangements. I'm hoping to plant 1 or 2 more varieties this fall. There were so many extra seedlings that I decided to collect a few (80 seeds) and see if they could be germinated into plug trays. I've read that they are very difficult to manually sow, and do much better when self-seeded by the plant. It'll be a fun experiment to see what happens! I'll be following Allan Armitage's Specialty Cut Flower instructions for a 15 week germination period.
