The bow and the bells for my handmade wreath have finally arrived! I used gold bells and a gold and "Mocha Mousse" (the Pantone 2025 color of the year!) velvet bow. I love how it turned out, it makes our old artificial wreaths in our home look shabby and shameful 😆 I'll definitely be keeping the wreath frame and bow&bells to make a new live wreath every Christmas season, there's just no comparison! And it was so easy to create with the tutorial that provided to her community of FlowerMore members. Thank you Ellen!

Tip: If you don't have evergreens or holly in your landscape to cut from, you can use a few of the lower branches from a live Christmas tree if you've got one! Or buy from a local flower farm or Christmas tree farm for the foliage!

Interplanting experiment!

The stock is really happy sharing space with the lisianthus seedlings so far. Stock are single stemmed flowers, and lisianthus grow EXTREMELY slow and harvested during the summer, not Spring like stock, so I'm hoping they're a good pairing for this test. This could be a big win for small growers like me looking to maximize their space.

Has anyone else tried interplanting flowers? I'd love to hear if you found any other good pairings!

My top greenery picks!

From left to right: Dusty Miller, Phlox greens, Catmint, Heuchera, Boxwood, and hydrangea leaves

These have definitely been my favorites this season! Greens can be so much more than just "green". You can really add interest to a design by adding a nice mix of greens/whites/purples/yellows/variegated colors. I find that greens like Catmint or Dusty miller can add whimsy while Phlox and Hydrangea greens can add structure and make great filler with their larger leaves.

Plus these six picks are long lasting, have strong stems, and come from perennials that keep on growing after every cut. And probably most importantly for me - they can be cut at any time of day and won't wilt!

Hey folks! Here's a sneak peak at what's blooming this week 🌸 🌼🌻🏵️

Since we missed this weekend's arrangements (family gathering & our baby's first time traveling!) we are offering mid-week deliveries (8/13-8/14) in addition to our Friday-Sunday deliveries (8/16-8/18). Spoiler alert: My hellebores had babies!!! 😍 I'm so excited for these beauties to grow into more gorgeous plants. I looove hellebores as a green filler flower in my arrangements. I'm hoping to plant 1 or 2 more varieties this fall. There were so many extra seedlings that I decided to collect a few (80 seeds) and see if they could be germinated into plug trays. I've read that they are very difficult to manually sow, and do much better when self-seeded by the plant. It'll be a fun experiment to see what happens! I'll be following Allan Armitage's Specialty Cut Flower instructions for a 15 week germination period.
