Building a Dream.... Harper House at Walker Farms
In 2017, my husband and I received an amazing gift of Harper House from my father in law. Harper House is the oldest standing home in Jackson County, Arkansas, dating back to 1835 it was built as the central residence of an antebellum plantation. Harper House is located in rural central Jackson County and sits central to a private working farm among fields, pastures offering gorgeous country views at every turn. We are just a short drive from Batesville, Jonesboro and Searcy and an easy hour from the Little Rock area.
After finishing a remodel of the home in 2019, I set about creating my vision of an all encompassing venue in Northeast Arkansas. Plans are made to add a country church in fall of 2020 and a barn in 2021, along with improvements continuously being added. With expanse of lawn, pasture grass, little wooded niches, an antique brick patio, a 30 x 52 pavillion strung with lights and a fireplace built from antique brick found on the property, gorgeous settings at every turn, it is my dream that Harper House at Walker Farms will be a perfect fit for any bride no matter the style she chooses. Harper House provides the perfect setting for any special occasion.
