They set out a table with some paint supplies and instructions along with a large canvas on an easel. Throughout the evening guest came to the table and painted a stroke or two to create this beautiful artwork for the couple to put up in their home. 🎨🖌️🧑🎨👩🎨👨🎨🖼️
Some good takeaways if you were going to do this at your wedding:
1. Protect your linen or put something like a plastic linen down.
2. Have written instructions. They even put ‘shake me’ on the paint
3. Don’t forget people want to clean their hands afterwards it could get messy. Wet wipes!
4. Pick colors you like for you and your home or wherever you are putting your artwork up at.
5. Check with your venue about placement as this is potentially messy Experience. We had a perfect spot in the grass near the venue itself.

We’ve added a portable wooden arbor to the our ‘add on’ design collection!
I absolutely love that it can be dressed up with drapes and flowers to match to our couples’ design elements. And I love the intimacy it brings to this space for a couple having their wedding ceremony here.

We are so excited! 2024 is a big year for our family at Butterfly Kisses Pavilion. We have 2 family weddings to plan but we are going to take you on the wedding planning experience of one for now… my little sister!
Planning a wedding has several step. We are going to share the steps and the order we tackled them in!
To get started: You should set a budget, pick a venue, confirm a date, and hire a wedding planner. That was easy for this bride since her big sister runs a wedding venue and is a certified wedding planner.
Our next stop was Wedding Dress Shopping! It was so much fun with a splash of Prosecco and some happy tears! She found a dress and is looking forward to seeing it with plenty of time to do the needed alterations (hemming, bustles, and adjustments).

Much like a wedding day, running a wedding venue has its fair share of the unexpected!
We just had a pretty severe winter storm hit our area. ❄️Some of our surrounding communities experienced a lot more bad parts of the storm. I consider us very lucky as our damage was limited.
Just wanted to share what it’s like running a wedding venue! 💍💒
For the tree and the rosebush will connect with our sister company to order replacement and schedule with them to have it installed. We will then give those replacement plants a little extra TLC in order to ensure they thrive over the next year along with the rest of our landscape.
The window will be handled by myself and Winter (my niece and staff member). We’ll just pop it out fit the window back into its space secure and pop it back in.

I am thankful this winter storm didn’t do more damage out here! I am also very thankful that I have the resources in place to deal with these unexpected parts of running a wedding venue!
Planning for the unexpected whether it’s in your small business your life or your wedding day is the best way to handle it whether it’s making sure you are insured or you identify the potential risk that can happen and have a plan for it. That’s what makes handling and dealing with the unexpected a lot easier.

🌧️4. What is your inclement weather plan? If any part of the venue is outdoors or affected by weather you need to know the expectations of the venue and of yourself when planning. Always have a plan b.
🍻5. What is your alcohol policy? There is so much liability that falls with alcohol. Your venue likely has rules and there is no bending them. But if having a party is important to you them make sure you ask this question so you and your venue can plan the best damn party every!
⭐️6. Bonus question: What is your planning process after we book? Whether it’s simple with a phone call 30 days out from a wedding or a complex planning process, you need to learn these expectations so that you can fit it into your entire wedding planning process!
