To all of our loyal customers:

It is with mixed emotions that we are announcing the closure of the Thunderdome in Newton. From the original purchase of what most remember as Skate Castle in July of 2018, we have spent 6 years attempting to provide the community of Newton with a venue space for everyone and every type of event. Roller skating, weddings, concerts, galas, fundraisers, birthdays, corporate events, retail floral, axe throwing, Sunday brunch, supper club, trivia nights, catering, restaurant and bar services, BBQ, and of course our unique special events ranging from wrestling to male review shows have all been apart of the journey to create a space for food, drink and entertainment in Newton. After 6 years of constant renovations and rebranding to create something long lasting in this community, we have made the decision to close the doors and sell the facility to the next future owners of this community cornerstone.

We have events for the next few months that we will fulfill, as promised. We are still booking events through early October.

We would like to thank all of the businesses that have trusted us with their holiday events and corporate outings. We would like to thank our wedding couples that have trusted us to host the most important day of their lives. We would like to thank our trivia teams that have supported us every Thursday night. Most of all, we would like to thank all of the individuals that have shown up time and time again over the years to support us in our small business journey. A special thank you goes out to those that have become good friends because of the time we have spent getting to know you personally. We have done everything in our power to transform this facility into something that can last another 70 years and continue to be a space that makes memories for years to come.

The Athletic Booster Club hit record breaking numbers in multiple committee’s in accomplishing our fundraising efforts for our young cardinals this past year!

All members work hard each year to raise money for athletics and was able present our yearly donation.

Here are some of the things the money we raise went to this year:

*$2,000 each for 24 different activities to help offset costs of needed equipment and uniforms
*Cardinal Power expenses and salaries
*HUDL subscriptions for sports teams

We couldn’t do any of this without our wonderful family and business sponsors. Thank you for your support!

We just got married at Baqara and it truly was the best experience. As a bride, I can say that Yvette and Clinton went above and beyond everything that was agreed to and promised. Yvette was attentive from the beginning at the rehearsal dinner to us as the bride and groom and made sure we were taken care of. Clinton asked all the right questions and was great at giving the wedding party direction and guidance. Any question or concern was taken care of immediately on wedding day. The way that they prioritize the bride and groom feeling special is truly unmatched. They mitigated everything that popped up that could have stressed me out and made sure the day was clearly about my husband and I. I would highly recommend them to anybody!
