When arrived to drop off her bouquet for pressing, I knew right away I was going to ask how she felt about a meadow design composition. I'm so glad she was on board, because the flowers her floral designer chose (the insanely talented Tara from ) were PERFECT for this style! I really enjoyed creating this one!!! Center photo of actual bouquets taken by another gifted artist, the one and only, .photography_ ! What a joy to work alongside so much creative talent! It definitely fuels me ❤️

One of the most time consuming processes when it comes to flower pressing is reconstruction blooms that had to be DEconstructed for the best results.

Here is a beautiful pile of tulip petals pressed paper thin that need to be put back together. I actually really love this phase, it's a bit meditative to me. It's an opportunity to take my time and admire all of the tiny details, like the variations of color that can happen, or the veining of pigment within the individual petals.

So this is what I'll be doing today with reruns of Friends playing in the background. 💜 Happy Friday!

Rachel and Josh opted to have their ceremony indoors to avoid the sweltering heat. Thankfully had them covered with access to their gorgeous (and air conditioned!) chapel. They even brought their own handmade arbor for me to decorate and I didn't mind the A/C either 😉

New Year 🤍 New Name 🤍 Same Me

I've been struggling with my business name since transitioning from flower farmer to floral design. Crimson Clover Flower Farm just didn't feel right without the farming aspect. I considered a completely new name altogether, but nothing ever felt quite right. I realized even though "Crimson Clover" was chosen because it was a beautiful cover crop that I loved, and stumbled upon a 4 leaf clover while trying to decide on my farm name, the meaning has changed. It is now a nod to how my flower business started, how my clients and community know me, so I decided I must keep it!

This is going to be the best year! I cannot wait to work my very sweet couples, wonderful vendors, and old and new connections! Crimson Clover is ready for you 2025!!

Fun fact: my husband and I didn't have a wedding. We were both married before and did the big wedding and decided to skip the pomp and circumstance.

We decided we wanted a cake a few months ago. A specialty cake made just for us. Lucky for me I knew just who to ask...

Kyrsten from made us this delicious cinnamon swirl cake with a layer of salted caramel and vanilla bean buttercream frosting. This is hands down THE BEST cake we have ever had. Ever, period! And it is so beautiful!

Couples! This is your baker!!! Seriously, she is the sweetest person (see what I did there?) and you and your guests will be so spoiled!!

Fruit, candles, and bud vases oh my! Simple, elegant, and perfect for Annie and Lol's Tuscan rehearsal dinner where brick oven fired pizza was on the menu and the wine was flowing! An intimate evening celebrating love, family, and friendship in the most idyllic setting. Side note...the apricots in Italy last summer were out of this world! We ate almost as many as we set the tables with!

Adding fruits and veggies, especially interesting shapes and colors, is a unique way to elevate your table settings without being too fussy and stuffy. Laid back elegance made easy!

This time of year is quiet. There is the occasional winter wedding after December, but right now, I'm busy catching up on preservation work and working with couples on consultations and proposals for their upcoming weddings. It's always a good time to reflect on the past year. I've been so lucky to have worked with simply the best couples and vendors, and I think 2025 will be marvelous!

I still have some prime weekends remaining for 2025, so if you still haven't booked your floral designer, don't wait!
