Last night was an outstanding experience in CT Theater. Jane Gnazzo and my self went to the exciting Drama Works Theatre headed by owner of producer of and for this show , the Director. It was directed brilliantly in its' harsh simplicity. The 4 actors were just sensational. We went to see Alicia James starring in Two Rooms by Lee Blessing. There were 4 actors and their talent was striking - NY talent caliber. You will be drawn in and to the edge of your seat throughout! There just aren't enough Braves and Bravos! A magical memory of our awesome Cast of See How They Run last summer in Theater Under the Shell. What a special show and now most of our actors have spread their wings to fill the pause with TUTS (back with a bang next summer) We just enjoyed our BARARA Barbara J. Bloemink in Flock Theater's Jane Eyre. Next up - Jimmy Abrams in Hole in the Wall Theater, next Rich Springman at the Granite Theater! Also ready to standing O for my Ivoryton Players new pieces written by our Laura Thoma and Terry Fogle and performing Ellen Atwood at Drama Works Theatre. Theater Under the Shell is so thrilled to shine some starlight on our Acting Company! As we are on hiatus and deep into preparation for summer 2025 - our stars are spreading their talents all over CT! Barbara J. Bloemink will be appearing in the Flock Theater Company playing 2 roles!, Rich Springman will be appearing in the Granite Theater 👏💝🥯🎭👏🌟🌟🌟🌟 production of "The Drowsy Chaperone" where he will be playing "Underling"😀🎭 Alicia James is appearing in Meriden - The Mac - in "Silent Sky" (June) and our Jim Abrams will be appearing in the Hole in the Wall Theater in New Britain in "The Time of your Life" by Saroyan! How proud and thrilled are we!!!!!!

Theater Under the Shell is taking a hiatus this coming summer 2024 due to Administrative duties moving from one Branch of our Town to another.

2025!!! 🎭🎭 We will be back for our 8th Season with another roaringly funny Comedy! Cannot wait to see you then as we present our Theater Under the Shell Pop-Up Summer Stock Theater in our Town's bandshell on the lush bluff of McCook's Point Park! Opening Night on Saturday July 26th and will run 8 nights- August 3rd 2025!

AS I explain to my actors: every playwright and play has it's own rhythm. Once an actor gets into that rhythm - half the work is done! As does the beautiful, breezy Niantic Boardwalk. Walk in it's rhythm and enjoy the rhythms of the water, the birds, the sky, the clouds. Today was just a gorgeous day on our Boardwalk. Breezy, beautiful, and rhythmic.

We just closed last night on a record-breaking 7th Season of Theater Under the Shell! We so love our Community - our audiences, our sponsors and East Lyme Parks & Rec for the glorious location and hospitality and the Senior Center of all the administrative support and more. How could a cast and crew be more fortunate than to reside in Niantic on a breezy bluff over looking the Bay for 7 years! THANK YOU COMMUNITY!!!

What a record-breaking Sat. Night in the Bandshell with "See How They Run" by Philip King and directed by Joyce Beauvais! ONE MORE NIGHT TONIGHT!! HAVE A BALL AT OUR CLOSING NIGHT of the Seventh Season of THEATER UNDER THE SHELL! The bluff at McCook's Point Park was breathtakingly beautiful last night - the actors on fire - and the audience the greatest! 6PM bring picnics, chairs and $20 and have a fabulous summer evening!!!! It has been hard work and thrilling rewards and forever memories!! My heart is forever in Theater Under the Shell❤
