When choosing the style of your event, the way you dress your tables will set the mood.

The length of your tablecloth drop corresponds to how formal you want your event to appear.

For a casual setting, you should let your tablecloth drop anywhere between 6 to 8 inches, while a 10 to 12 inch drop is recommended for a formal occasion. If you want a more luxurious appearance, let your tablecloth drape elegantly to the floor. Looking for a dramatic look? Let the tablecloth pool on the floor.

This is a guide to help you decide which tablecloth size you would need for our tables at The Liven Room.

I often look up at our sign and think how beautiful it looks.

That beauty took almost a year to get because it was far more expensive than I could have imagined. Yet, the price isn’t what makes it beautiful, it’s what it represents.

It represents a life I never knew I could have. One where I don’t have to decide between my family and what is expected of me. One where I have the freedom to challenge myself and see how far I can go on my own terms.

These thoughtfully designed mini wedding ceremonies (minimonies) were created for couples looking for simplicity without sacrificing beauty.

Each minimony, hosted at The Liven Room, include venue decor and florals for the couple that beautifully complement the season, ceremony officiant, wedding cake for the couple and their guests, and a champagne toast to new beginnings.

All you need to do is bring your marriage license and tell your guests when they need to arrive.

Many years have passed since she fought her battle. I have vague memories of it, yet she remembers it in great detail. All I can remember is the chaos and the sadness that took over our world.

You learn to never take for granted every day you are given. You learn to cherish even the smallest moments of happiness and embrace the ones that are difficult.

This wasn’t just a run to support Pink 5k Oak Brook Park District, a cause so transparent as to how they help women (and men) at their most vulnerable and challenging times, it was a reminder that we always have each other.
