I get asked a lot what are popular items to get; pressed or resin… The answer is both!! I always say if you can…get a large pressed piece and then resin add ons so you can see your flowers in their natural state both ways! Our most popular pressed pieces are the 16x20 and Arch frames. Our most popular resin pieces are jewelry dishes, ring holders, ornaments, and skulls.

One of my most recent, but also favorite pieces of the year.

Drying your flowers without color correction doesn’t have to mean dull and ugly flowers… Trust me in this process and you will walk away with a piece to forever treasure and love. This was a self taught art that didn’t sprout overnight with a YouTube video and some confidence to do DIY. This has been one of the most difficult , beautiful, eye opening, unique, and time consuming things I’ve ever done. I am so proud of my business and the art I put out. I’m even more proud of the sacrifice’s , the hours , months, and years I’ve dedicated to learning the intricacies and how tos of it. When I officially started my business Floral Preservarion was full of gate keeping. I’ve luckily had some amazing artists across the country who I can turn to when I need advice or help, but it wasn’t always that way. To my friends and fellow artist, my clients, and my supporters 🙏🏼 thank you. You are helping someone walk away with a piece of art they can forever memorialize a person or moment with !

It’s the season of ornaments.

The holidays are such a special time. Putting your flowers in an ornament you can display year round but then on your tree during the holiday… there couldn’t be a more beautiful thing 🫶🏼😍🎄! I’ve had a lot of people put memorial flowers in ornaments. They even make great gifts for bridesmaids or parents after weddings ! How stunning are these ?! ✨

I get asked a lot what our most popular item is and I would say it’s this size frame! You can’t go wrong with the 16x20 because it allows for me to get as many flowers from your bouquet as possible !!

Flowers don’t tell. They show.

They show beauty. They show stillness. They show patience. They show life. What you see, may not be what I see. The meaning behind a flower is different for each person looking at it. And that is the beauty of it all. Why not take a flower you see on a day in your life and preserve its petals through time? It may be an exciting day like a wedding or a baby shower… but it could also be a difficult day like a memorial or funeral. Both have meaning. Both have significance. But the point…both can be preserved all the same in a way that those moments, people, and memories can live on in your life with you. That’s all preservation is.

Don’t regret throwing your blooms away. Keep them alive for years to come.

I am extremely excited so if you’re local go check it out starting tomorrow in Niskayuna 👏🏼. If you’ve never been in Hatchet Hardware- aka Ace hardware- they don’t just sell tools , paint supplies, and day to day to items. Did you know you can ship your flowers to me nationwide ?! I have been getting many more inquiries from out of state! Because of this I figured I’d share how you ship your blooms to me if we are not close enough to meet or do a drop off! I’ve had flowers come from the Carolina’s , Florida, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and more! So how do you care for your blooms until they get to me?! Well first… make sure to trim their stems and give them a nice warm drink or water the night of your event. Then when getting ready to ship make sure to wrap the stems in a soaked paper towel and then wrap that in a plastic bag of some kind with rubber bands. I also have links to small water tubes for each stem if you really want to keep them fresh and beautiful! Grab a box big enough for you bouquet and put fragile stickers all over it. Also make sure to write ‘this side up ‘ on every side so that way the bouquet stays right side up in travel. Then whatever you do- DO NOT use plastic wrap!! This is crucial. This will suffocate the flowers and cause them to die (the heat alone from it will be detrimental) ! I recommend newspaper around the bouquet or packing beans to keep it secure in place and prevent bruising on petals !On to carrier- I prefer and recommend FedEx. They have shown to take the best care during shipping and I have a calculator for those who want to see how much it would cost to send to me.Then I strongly suggest to overnight the flowers and at the very least priority 2 day. Just remember the longer in travel the more they are losing life!
