Please plan to attend the Rally to Save Boulder Farms & Small Businesses, Tuesday, August 12, 10-11AM, at Second Avenue and Murray Street, Niwot

Organized by the Boulder County Farms and Jobs Alliance and the Niwot Business Association, this event will call on county leaders to allow local choice on a fair, regionally appropriate minimum wage policy.

Farmers, small businesses, and community residents will gather in Niwot at the parking lot on Murray Street (between Second and Third Avenue) on Tuesday, August 12, at 10 a.m. for a powerful rally featuring local voices to protest a Boulder County wage mandate that is threatening the survival of farms, youth employment, and historic towns in unincorporated areas of Boulder County.

Speakers will share firsthand accounts of closures, lost hiring capacity, and competitive disadvantages as unincorporated communities are forced to pay wages up to 41% higher than neighboring cities.

The public is encouraged to hear directly from those who will be impacted by this ordinance and to inform you how you will be impacted as consumers.

Artist Michael Bondi’s annual art show is always a hugely popular event. This weekend, Friday, August 1, and Saturday, August 2, Bondi will host his art show featuring original watercolors and prints, all available for purchase.

Stop by Friday, 8/1, 5 p.m. -9 p.m. and Saturday, 8/2, 10 a.m. - 8 a.m.

Bondi’s paintings need to be seen in person to fully appreciate the essence of each setting. You’ll be enthralled by Bondi’s city and harbor scenes inspired by his trips to Italy, France, and Greece.
