we've made a decision... It's time to move on.

When we decided to close our brick and mortar, I had planned to continue on with Nine Twenty-Two as an online shop. Over the last two months, I have come to the realization that I am hanging on to something that I am really ready to move on from.

Since we signed a lease and created our business as HortiCulture Design Co. almost 5 years ago, we've been so fortunate to have met amazing people, built a business that we have loved more than we thought we could and had a blast doing it all. So much so that, I couldn't quite say it was THE END at first. I think I needed to eeeeeease into that process. So, we're saying it now.

I have decided that since all good things must end, this is the time for Nine Twenty-Two.

BUT, we want to see all of your beautiful faces at least one last time AND we've got some really great inventory.

First, we have three workshops planned so we can celebrate with you guys and see you one more time. To start, we're beyond excited to host the beautiful souls from for a social club event in our shop. They are hosting GIVE FLOWERS: A Mindful Mixer to Meditate, Mix and Make Flower Arrangements. Join us on Thursday 11/21 at 6pm, link in profile.

Second, we will be holding our annual (and most popular) Wreath Making Workshop in a few weeks. While we have had over 100 people come in years past, we will only have 2 time slots this year and can only host a total of 40 people. These will sell out so grab your spot quickly!

Third, we are still going to offer our Thanksgiving Centerpieces for the last time! We are taking a limited number of orders and they can be picked up at our shop on either Monday 11/25 or Tuesday 11/26. These 2 days will also be one last chance to shop our inventory at 50% off.

Last, everything in the shop is NOW 50% OFF! This includes all remaining inventory including clothing, plant accessories, home goods and great gift items, and even some awesome shop fixtures. Shop online or stop in on one of our last few days open!

It's coming to an end and we have to sneak in a few things that have been customer favorites over the last 5 years and Wreath Making is a BIG ONE!!

We will only have TWO workshops this year and space is limited so these will sell out! Join us to make a fragrant evergreen wreath of fresh cedar, eucalyptus and other seasonal greenery using our easy-to-learn process. You'll take home your creation to enjoy, show off and brag about throughout the holiday season.

As a HUGE BONUS, you'll get to shop all of our merchandise at 50% off after the workshop. Get your holiday shopping on, grab your favorites and save BIG while giving us the pleasure of seeing your face before we close for good!

The fine print: due to limited space, only registered attendees may be in the workshop space. Because of limited space, registration is non-refundable but IS transferable. If you can't make it, shoot us an email and let us know who will be taking your spot.

ONE LAST TIME!!!!!

Our holiday arrangements have always been one of our best sellers and this year is just a little sweeter! This will be the last time we'll offer these as we have closed our brick and mortar shop. Hop over to our website and order yours before they sell out!

Super lush, textural modern garden-style arrangements will feature shades of peach, sage green, coral, and yellow with fragrant eucalyptus, pods and grasses. (They will be similar to pictures but varieties will vary based on seasonal availability)

Choose from a long (20") low arrangement in our whitewashed wood vessel or round compote arrangement (12-14" around and 10-12" tall) in a metallic glass compote (somewhere between silver and gold) vessel.

Arrangements are up on our website for ordering and pick up either of the 2 days listed below. We will be at our shop (758 W 22nd St. in Norfolk) for pick up between 12-5 on Monday 11/25 and Tuesday 11/26. Please choose LOCAL PICKUP at check out to avoid being charged for shipping!

We're POPPIN' UP!

We've been a little quiet here since we closed our brick and mortar but it looks like we'll have our space for a little longer so we want to see your faces!

We've got a few fun things planned to help you with your holiday shopping and hopefully get to see lots of our customers a few more times.

The first is a Pop Up Sale in our brick and mortar shop to help you get a few of your favorites and start your holiday shopping early.

Come out this Thursday, Friday and Saturday - October 31-November 2 between 11-4 to shop with us again. Everything will be 20-30% off and we'll have some of your old favorites, a few new things, clothing, candles, home goods, jewelry and more.

(NOTE: We will not have PLANTS as we are mainly operating as an online shop and are no longer selling plants.)

We weren't going to do this until Saturday (come join us for our grand Closing Celebration...we'll have refreshments and smiles all day from 12-4) but we've decided to give you TWO days of a BIGGER BETTER sale! Starting today, everything in the store will be 50% off or more. We've got lots left and some pretty awesome stuff.

CLEARANCE SALE GOING STRONG! I am beside myself at the outpouring of sweet words I've heard over the last few days. I am loving getting to see everyone's faces and chat with all of you.

That's said...we still have a little bit of almost everything...and plenty of plants, clothes and gifts. Come by tomorrow and say hi and grab your favorites before they are gone.

HortiCulture Design Co. is a retail shop and floral design studio in Norfolk, Virginia. We adore crazy cool plants, beautiful things that make everyday life better, and we make flowers for people who love flowers. We offer different ordering options to be able to provide brides of all budgets and events sizes to be able to experience gorgeous wedding flowers. We hold workshops in our shop. Our workshops are as much for gathering as they are for learning. Of course we'll teach you our processes and you'll see yourself create something beautiful. But, gathering around our work space with friends - and strangers who become friends - over champagne and really good music is about so much more than just making something.
