Next Sunday if you are close to Blue Mound Illinois think about making the trip over to enjoy a fun filled day to raise funds for the Meridian Elementary PTO.

A DJ will be on site helping everyone play music bingo(with cash prizes). There will also be a 50/50 drawing, silent auction, and a cash bar.

Loman’s Backyard Barbecue will be cooking up some good food for this event. Pulled Pork Nachos will be on the menu. We will be donating a portion of our proceeds back to the PTO.

If you don’t have any plans on Sunday January 12th. Take the trip to Blue Mound and come enjoy some food and fun.

3rd Sunday Market are we going to be hungry this Sunday?

Make your way back to the food court area and try our smoked tacos and smoked chicken wings (Buffalo, Barbecue, Parmesan Garlic, or Dry Rub. We will also have smoked brats and come early for breakfast and try our new Belgium waffles 🧇.

We are excited for this weekends show and will have some good food for you.

One thing I will always do is look for an opportunity to serve those that serve us. And serve those that need serving.

Today Loman’s Backyard Barbecue made a commitment to donate 200 chicken wings for the PTO luncheon for the grade school that our children attend.

The caring nature of this school and work that the staff puts in to make sure these children have the tools they need is nothing short of exceptional. This small donation by us is very much an opportunity we are glad to have.

We have a feeling the teachers are going tomorrow enjoy these wings.

The smoke is rolling and the pulled pork nachos and smoked tacos 🌮 are going over very well.

We have cornbread, pit smoke beans, they added an extra hot dog option for everyone and our world famous homemade chocolate chips cookies

They made some cool signage for the break room and some tickets to handout to their employees for their choice of meal. Pretty cool day to be serving the hard working people of XPO!!!!

We have our tarp keeping our wood nice and dry and our rain gear came in handy.

The fine folks at XPO trucking are bringing the backyard to the front door today. They are catering lunch/dinner for 60 truck drivers as we set up on site they will have pulled pork nachos, smoked tacos, cornbread, and pit smoked beans.

We thank XPO trucking for trusting us to provide a great meal for their employees. We have a few pork butts ready this morning for the guys that have been out driving all night.

Lomans Backyard Barbecue rolled into Pike County Fairgrounds in Pleasant Hill on Saturday. It started off with rain and ended with fire 🔥.
We immediately unloaded all our wood to keep it dry and keep ribeyes and chicken wings coming out all night. We had some great compliments on our brats and with the chicken wings. I had someone tell me they were the best they’ve ever had. We are mighty grateful to the folks in Pleasant Hill for their generosity and business.

If you ask us to be back, we will gladly return.

Saturday September 21st at the Pike County Fairgrounds. Come out and watch some demo derby action and grab a ribeye or some smoked chicken wings.

This will be our first event in Pike County after a year of discussions and we are ready for a great event.

September is on the horizon and we are just a few weeks away from our return to the 3rd Sunday Market. We will be serving up some of our best: Pulled pork for nachos and sandwiches. Handcut pork chops right off of our full pork loin. And some smoked brats.

We are excited for this event and ready to serve our customers. Come and see us at the market on Sunday September 15th. Gates open at 8am and the event goes until 4pm. 6 dollar admission for adults and free admission 13 and under

We are less than a month away from this fabulous event! A new thing happening this year is a Food Truck Frenzy on Sunday, September 22nd from noon to 3pm. We are honored to have some wonderful food trucks joining us!

We will be returning to the 2025 Illinois Game Con on June 7th at the Interstate Center at the McLean County Fairgrounds.
