A little game of This or That can help you figure out what style feels the most like “you”, your venue, and your vibe.

Even though these two table designs feature the same rose colored glassware, ivory tablecloths, seasonal florals (from my garden + local flower farmers) and linen napkins tied with twine and a tiny fern tucked in, they have two totally different styles that fit the couples as well as the locations they chose.

I like to call the one on the top left a light, airy, romantic, garden party in the clouds. (Photo )

While the one on the lower right is a quintessential PNW mountain summer celebration with bold colors and natural elements that are earthy and elegant at the same time. (Photo .renee.photo )

Ahhh 3 things I love about summer weddings. . .

1. Golden hour seems to go on for hours and you get to enjoy long, dreamy evenings lingering around the table with the ones you love.

2. Due to magical summer weather here in the PNW you can celebrate outdoors and enjoy the priceless experience of adding nature to your special day whether that’s in the mountains, by the water, in a forest or a lavender field like this!

3. Flowers are the Queens of Summer and you can enjoy them in endless ways: in your food and drinks, on your tables, in your hair, ALL around you — and, of course, you can have them on your dishes, silverware, linens, and even etched into your glassware!

Introducing my “Magic Basket” with all kinds of useful bits and bobs I might need to help things go smoothly for you (and me!) on your big day!

It usually has tape, scissors, candles, matches, rechargeable lighter, bottle opener, twine, mask, gloves, protein bars, hand sanitizer, chapstick, Kleenex, plus my clipboard with all the details about your day!

Bonus: it can double as a cute little basket table for picnics! 😉

Chances are your planner and maybe your photographer have one too, but you might want to put together your own magic basket/box/tote/bag/whatever to have on hand!

Micro weddings and elopements are so precious to me. Three things I absolutely love are:

1. Collaborating with my couples to learn about their style and set the table to help them celebrate their love story.

2. Adding florals, candles, and other touches to elevate the whole design.

3. Providing a luxury experience that’s also relaxed so that everyone just sighs with happiness and celebrates with peace and joy.

Bonus: creating beautiful events that are also sustainable!

A little Mother’s Day throwback since I can’t be with my “kids” today. This is from a few years ago but I still love this pic because it captures the love and joy I feel whenever I’m with them.

Getting to be their mom will forever be one of the greatest joys of my life.

Not only do I love and enjoy them, I like and respect them, and I’m so proud of the grown up human beings they’ve become!

I didn’t really mean to jump on the “choose a personal word of the year” bandwagon. It just happened! 🤷🏻‍♀️

And I’m so happy it did because, the way I see it, my personal word is going to be like a gentle mentor that’s going to walk alongside me in 2024. ✨

Instead of a set of rigid instructions or list of “shoulds” like New Year’s resolutions can be, my word is going to be an inspiration to guide me in the right direction. And it’s going to help me feel more like you see me in this photo (thank you !🥰)

I will say this all day long: your wedding day is YOUR day so choose whatever makes you happy!

But I will also say this: you really can’t go wrong by eloping in the epic PNW and then celebrating with your favorite people back at your like L&M did last summer!

You can go for a hike, cherish your intimate ceremony, have your elopement photographer capture incredible images for you, and then come back to your cute little cabin/whatever to celebrate with your nearest and dearest!

I’ll bring everything you need to set a beautiful table for you all to gather around, I’ll set it up, and then slip away so you can relax and enjoy.

Later I’ll come back to clean up and take it all away. You and your people don’t have to lift a finger!
(Just think of me as your elopement fairy godmother!)

Happy Winter Solstice everyone!Technically winter may be just beginning but I like to think that tomorrow we turn the corner towards spring!

I really love celebrating the solstice. Sometimes I go all out like I did when this photo was taken a few years ago: I set out hundreds of luminaria in a local park and played music while people walked the lantern lit path in the dark. (Btw I still have all those luminaria if you ever want to rent them!🤩)

This year is much simpler but the “shortest day of the year” is still the perfect excuse to light lots of candles and have an extra cozy evening.

Introducing Daisy, the newest member of the Celebrations for Every Season team! (aka a 2013 Lexus RX 450h to haul my vintage party rentals around!)

Seriously, though, as the owner of a sustainable business it’s been one of my biggest goals to replace my old car with a hybrid and I am so happy with Daisy’s 80+ cubic feet of cargo space compared to the 57 I had before and her ability to still great gas mileage (and she is oh so comfy!)

We took her on a test drive/family adventure to Mt Rainier where she’ll be taking rentals, tables, chairs and flowers to a wedding next month!

Thanks to my husband and “kids” for all the used car expertise! .e30

I am definitely your girl if you’re looking for ways to have a more sustainable wedding or event but don’t quite know where to start or what’s even possible.


First of all, simply by renting your party tableware instead of buying single use items you can significantly reduce the carbon footprint of your celebration.

You don’t have to buy anything and most of my inventory is vintage that I’ve collected for years so the waste is next to nothing on my end too!

My aim is always zero waste, which is tricky to achieve, but I pack all of my items in repurposed boxes, baskets, totes, and flannel, plus I use zero waste cleaning products from Blueland for all of my dishes, glassware, silverware, and linens. No plastic bottles of detergent or cleaners!

Even behind the scenes I’m doing everything I can to make your celebration more sustainable.

Parties may be fun but they’re also a lot of work. Lucky for you, I love doing this work!

The way I see it, your job is to relax and enjoy celebrating with your guests.

Not only will I design your table settings and even centerpieces for you, I will deliver, set up, and take down all the things and I always do all the dishes!

I have shelves and shelves full of beautiful antique china plates in all sizes for your appetizers, salad, dinner/lunch/brunch or tea party, not to mention desserts!



Tell me your favorite colors and styles and I will send you photos of possible combinations. You can easily “shop” my inventory instead of spending all your spare time running around trying to find the good stuff at thrift stores. It will be so much fun! (Besides, that’s MY job! Lol)



Seriously, though, thrifting takes a lot of time and you probably have a lot of other things to do. I’ve already spent years doing it and, depending on how much lead time we have before your event, I might even be able to search for specific colors or pattern styles for your table settings.
