As event planners / balloon artists there is so much work & labor that goes on that you do not see. You do not see the countless hours of prep, you do not see the constant running arounds, you do not see the breakdowns we have, you do not see the issues we run across, you do not see the building that takes place *for those that build their props*. You just don’t see all of that, so it’s easy to come & knock one’s hustle, compare and say it’s overpricing from the outside but those that are in this line of business knows exactly how tedious it can be.
A lot of comments talking about their balloon artists charging way less, I would like you to genuinely ask your balloon artists if they don’t wish to charge more.. I’m pretty sure every last one of them would say yes. That being because they know what this business entails but unfortunately for most it’s hard to find clients willing to pay even 1k because they don’t see the value or respect this line of business as any other line of business.
And fyi a lot of balloon artists definitely charge what I charge in the south, and states with cheaper minimum wages as well but as someone who lives in one of the most expensive states to live in, nobody should be fixing themselves to tell me I’m overcharging.
Please please please do not come in my comment section with ignorance & negativity especially when you’ve not lived a day in the lives of us. You can’t speak on something you have no knowledge or background on… that’s called PURE IGNORANCE.

Balloon Hack 🚨🎈
The mouth method is my favorite method but sometimes the mouth method doesn’t always get the job done, especially with thicker balloon brands or double stuffed colors. For double stuffed colors I mostly just tie the inner color so I’d be able to stretch the mouth without the double thickness making it hard to do so… While other times I might just opt. Out for fishing line,
Which can be very annoying to use due to the string wrapping around me and getting tangled up 😩 sometimes the fishing line might give your balloon a “paper cut”😂 & there goes your perfectly assembled garland now losing volume because of one balloon deflating… nothing annoys me more than that🤦🏾♀️ other than that I love fishing line because it really does hold your balloons together perfectly, it being a clear string is where I have the issue😂😩
As for 260s I love them but I’m not patient enough to constantly have to attach extra 260s each time their stretch level reaches 0 so I keep those mainly for my 5”😂🤦🏾♀️
Rubber bands, they work but I mostly recommend for 5” not always 12”.
Curling string, I feel this is what beginners use when they’re still trying to get their feet wet in the industry & I have used curling string on one occasion because I ran out of supplies and never again. The fact there wasn’t stretch made it a bit harder to conceal the strings and they were just flimsy to me all in all, especially when it came time to attach the 5” I hated every bit of it, there was no hold at all!! I know people this method works for, but for me it’s a A BIG ❌🙅🏾♀️

A 6 hour + process managed to fit into a 30 second video😂 The magic of Timelapse!
This video is a clear depiction of why I always say be very understanding & respectful with your planners because you have no idea the amount of stress they go through planning your event and it doesn’t even just end there.
We still have to execute the event then, later on that night or next morning go back to the hall and bring it all down! And my fellow planners know how frustrating same day breakdowns could be, by the time you leave the venue get home and even try to get a meal in, it’s already time to head back to the hall and get everything out, especially the halls that have late fees… so here you are rushing with 30 mins to clear out the hall. It’s not easy at all and the least we ask from our potential clients is simply understanding and respect, just as we give you🥰
Believe me when I say I’ve come across some pretty nasty people that I chose not to work with for my peace of mind and sanity because planning a party is already stressful enough and the last thing anyone wants is to be under more pressure than they already are because you have a client with an unappealing aura. No line of work is easy, no business is easy but encouragement, respect and support goes a long way🫶🏾
