I cannot believe that we hit 1,000 followers on Instagram after having this account for just a little over a year! We are so grateful for every person who has followed us and who expressed any level of interest in our business and our mission. We still believe that a clean bill of health can be achieved from the foods that we consume holistically, organically, naturally, without the use of animal meat or by products. We consider it an honor and a privlege at we can continue to share this message through our social media accounts. We are going to be debuting some new items at this months on Sunday, August 4th, from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm. We are going to be serving our Sampler Platter containing Beyond Sausage Kebobs, Potato Salad and Baked Beans. A plate of cookout classics! We are also going to be featuring our grab n’ go items; biscuit doughs, chickpea toona, pancake mixes and our newest item *drum roll* Deviled Egg Dip! We love conducting cooking demos because health is wealth and knowledge is power! We have teamed up with to offer a cooking demonstration focused on New Jersey’s fresh summer produce. The demo will be at the .public.library on Thursday, July 11th, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Attendees will learn how to make delicious recipes with vegetables that grow in your own garden! The menu will consist of “Eat the Rainbow” Garden Veggie Wraps with Garlic Hummus and Ranch, Queen Mojitos, Divalicious Par Slays, and a “Do the Nana” Split for dessert. ‘Mmmm good!

This past Tuesday, I hosted another Cooking in Color Class with . In honor of Cinco de Mayo, we made chorizo nachos! Before they became involved with the preparation of the dish, I instructed the participants in knives and chopping safety. During the cooking process, they really enjoyed the aromas. I was also so impressed with how the participants are opening up to trying more foods, such as cilantro or chives, eating more veggies, and vegan foods overall. Most people even went back for seconds! I also raffled off a gift at the end of the class. These classes are easily the highlight of my week.

The Cooking in Color Series is a journey into the plant-based and vegan lifestyle by showing individuals who are on the spectrum how to shop for fresh produce and vegan ingredients and showing them how to master delicious and nutritious recipes!

It’s time for another and this week we are featuring our Chorizo Tofu. It’s a perfect high protein addition to many items; a Just Egg Omlette, breakfast burritos, tacos, burrito bowls, quesadillas, enchiladas, a chorizo stuffed pepper - the possibilities are endless! It’s a bit late but it’s National Sip Sip Beverage Day! In celebration, I stopped in to try a smoothie. I got the Booster with vegan vanilla protein! It’s super delish! This past Tuesday, I held my second Cooking in Color Class with and we made Quiche! They came out beautiful and all of the participants loved it (swipe through to see the process). It is so inspirational and rewarding to watch the participants become more interested in cooking. The Cooking in Color is a journey into the plant-based and vegan lifestyle by showing individuals who are on the spectrum how to shop for fresh produce and vegan ingredients and showing them how to master delicious and nutritious recipes!

Today we hosted our first event with our MeetUp group at .nyc. They had some of the best food that I have ever had. Our group had Guava Daiquiri, Truffle Fries, Baked Mac and Cheese, Grilled Cheese with Tomato Bisque, Green Pea Ravioli, Pistachio Tofu, Springtime Risotto, Seitan Cordon Blue, Side of Ginger and Garlic Tofu, Berries Cheesecake, and Chocolate Ganache with Vanilla Ice Cream. I also treated myself to a copy of their cookbook (not pictured) for my birthday. You could not go wrong with anything that you order. This is something new that we are doing once per month where we go to restaurants go bring back the concept of Sunday Dinners. Trust me, the bar has now been set very high! We are so excited to be part of ’s first Pop Up at the Madison Community Arts Center in Madison, NJ! Plant Based Planet is gonna be serving up our Lasanga and Chorizo Patties since ya’ll loved them so much at the previous markets. As per usual we will also have our Grab-n’-Go Chickpea Toona, Biscuit Doughs, and Pancake Mixes. Last weeks was so fire that I had to share what I got with ya’ll. First up, ’s Beef Mofongo Cups. They are so aesthetically pleasing and tasted just as good as they look. I also had her Cabbage Empanada and Tres Leche Cake which was also incredible as always. Next is with her PB&J cupcakes and her German Chocolate Cake Sandwich (not pictured). She out did herself with both of those, lemme tell you and I’m gonna need more of them. Then it’s ; now before I went vegan I used to love paneer and I was so happy when I saw them at this market. All of her food was amazing and a must check out if you like Indian cuisine. Then it’s .catering; their food looked and smelled so amazing and is very authentic. Very delicious. Next, my girl with her incredible (and underrated) Trash Can Truffles and her Caramel Berry Cloud which might be my new obsession and favorite thing of hers. We also got our friends with their Hamburger Helper. Yes I ate have the container before I got home which is why this picture looks how it does - don’t judge me 🤣Last, but not least, . Now anyone who knows me knows I love earrings and take my earring game seriously. Trust me when I say I cannot wait to wear these. Shoutout to all of my fellow small businesses owners, keep killing it and I am proud to support you.

I am so excited to announce that I am going to lead a series of classes called “Cooking in Color” with ! They are a wonderful organization that work with individuals on he autism spectrum and their families and help place them in meaningful careers. I will take them on a journey into the plant-based and vegan lifestyle; showing them how to shop for fresh produce and vegan ingredients and showing them how to master delicious and nutritious recipes!

I cannot express how personally fulfilling I find this. Before Plant Based Planet, I used to work with individuals who have intellectual and developmental disabilities (I’m going to elaborate on this in a future post) I’m so happy that I can combine both worlds.

Tofu three different ways! We got BBQ Tofu, Carribean Jerk Tofu, and Sloppy Joe-Style Tofu, in that order. Someone reached out to us for meal prep to help with increasing their protein intake and soy is great to do it. We are gonna do a blog post about this in greater detail; I know that there is some controversy about soy, but if it is organic, non-GMO, and the person consuming it don’t have the soy allergen then it is perfectly fine to enjoy!

So nice, we're doing it twice; it's our Vegan Loaded Country Dinner Waffle, which we are going to have again at the Vegan in NJ Market on Sunday, February 4th, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Our Loaded Country Dinner Waffle is stacked with mashed potatoes, fried oyster mushrooms with your choice of country gravy or mushroom gravy on top of either a regular or cheddar jalapeno waffle.
This is the kind of warm, comfort food
you need to get through this winter!

The Vegan in NJ "A Vegan Brunch with Santa"
event that we catered got me feeling the Holiday spirit, everybody! This event was so wonderful and I could not be more grateful to the wonderful Cherise from Vegan in NJ for the amazing catering and collaboration opportunity and for all of the things she does in the vegan community.
Thank you to everyone who attended, both familiar and new faces. I get so excited to feed people and it really gives me a sense of purpose so thank you all for eating up my brunch menu! 🥞 Of course, last but not least, thank you once again to my incredible Plant Based Planet team who showed up and turned it out.

We are currently working on some things behind the scenes for 2024 and we can't wait to share it with you in due time. Until then, may all of your dreams be merry and bright and may all your Holidays be .

You are gonna absolutely "flip" for our pancakes at the Vegan in NJ "A Vegan Brunch with Santa" event on sunday, December 17th, trom 10.00 am to 1.00
pm (get the pun? 😜)This event is gonna ( ) butter you up with our classic vegan foods and holiday cheer! We are gonna be serving our mouthwatering egg scramble, cheesy grits, chorizo hash, and more. There will be gluten free options and most of our items are already gluten free. Children under 12 can attend for free at this family-friendly event, bringing dogs is highly encouraged (especially with any festive costumes). Plus, Santa is gonna be there and eating vegan! 🌱 🎅🏻
