A Glens Falls restaurant is getting ready to change it’s name with a final farewell. Craft on 9 will be known as Southpaw Bistro after Saturday, August 24.

Hey guys come enjoy the beautiful Fall day and get some eats.

We're looking forward to the "Fall for Schroon" Festival & Car Show THIS Saturday (the weather gods have smiled down on us). The Car Show begins at 10am in the Dock Street parking area, with overflow on Leland Ave along the Town Park. We have over 70 vehicles registered and expect even more to show up...with live music from Grit N' Whiskey, Food Trucks, and the Harvest Farmers Market at the Pavilion from 10am to 2pm. For the kids, we're hosting a Carnival in the Park from noon to 3pm, with bounce houses for the little ones, inflatables including X Factor 4-lane basketball and the Adrenaline Rush 2 obstacle course, Climbing Wall, Gaga Ball, Goldfish Toss game, face painting, sand art table, a Pumpkin Patch and pumpkin painting, and more - all FREE! There will also be grab bags for the kids and a concession stand. SLCS is hosting a bake sale, and we'll have a Dunk Tank fundraiser as well. And the Friends of the Schroon Lake Library Used Bookstore will be open from 10am to 2pm. Don't miss out on the fun - pass the word!

Just a reminder that while the Boat Launch will be open, the Dock Street parking area and Leland Ave from Town Hall to Fairfield will be CLOSED to through traffic from 8am to 3pm, with no parking.
