Prayers are needed. Not for me but for this Awesome Country we all call home. The division between red and blue, man and woman, black and white. Our freedom and happiness is in jeopardy. We need to come together one nation under God. That needs to be more than words that we say during the pledge of Allegiance. So say a prayer for one another, say a prayer for this country.
Until next week be good to each other.

Pray with me. Father please look over this country. She's being torn apart at the seams. The very things that should be bringing us together is sending us in opposite directions. Bless us in our daily journey and keep us safe. In Jesus name I pray AMEN.

Sunday afternoon, take time to smell the roses. In every life there comes some thorns. But the beauty of the flowers offset the pain that the thorns cause. We all have blessings heaped upon us every day. Life is a gift in and of itself, not to mention family and friends. Good health, a good night's sleep, a delicious meal, freedom to enjoy all of these things openly. Eyesight and hearing, strength and mobility. When you take time to smell all the roses in your life it's only then that you can appreciate just how many roses 🌹 that you have.
Until next week be good to one another.

Red, Blue, it shouldn't matter to you. Because whichever you choose, colors will still be missing. America is based on the Red, White, and Blue. So just remember in the upcoming week tolerance is a two way street. You have to give it to get it. And if someone is tolerate of your beliefs be tolerate of theirs. Nothing says you have to believe how they believe just let them believe what they believe.
Until next week be good to each other.

I try my best not to admonish on this site. But I feel obligated to this week. So bear with me.
There is no expiration date on appreciation. When someone goes out of their way to help you and make things better for you, you should appreciate that gesture. The appreciation does not expire with the setting of the sun on the day the action took place. It should never be, what have you done for me today?
If someone steps outside the box to help you in your time of need, that debt is a lifetime in repayment. Especially if you do nothing that is outside of the norm in an effort to repay that debt. Your own honor and dignity should require from you a balancing of the scales. You should want to make it right.
While we are all prone to take care of ourselves first and everyone else second. That should intensify the desire to repay a debt of appreciation when someone puts you first and themselves second. Never let it be said. He/She never appreciates anything you do for him/her, so don't help him/her out. Be the one who steps up and goes above and beyond to repay the debt with gratitude and appreciation. The law of Karma says it will always come back to you.
Until next week be good to one another.

I sit here and ponder where did we go wrong. I'm inundated daily with complaints, both at work and in the world outside of work. Nobody is ever just content anymore.
Take a moment to focus on all that you have. A roof over your head, clothes on your back, a pillow to rest your head on at night, food in your belly, and last but not least family and friends who care about you.
Now take another moment to look around. There's homeless veterans sleeping under the bridges that we drive upon in our day to day lives. Children going to bed hungry night after night. People who don't even know who their families are let alone where they are.
I'd say we all have every reason to be content in our ho hum daily lives. I'd say we are truly blessed and should consider ourselves wealthy. So much so actually that we reach out to those in need. And bless them with what has been so abundantly given to us.
Remember what Jesus said " whatever you do unto the least of these my brethren, you do also unto me ".
Next time you think things around work is so bad or tough at home, take a moment to see that things can be alot worse. Count your many blessings and hold your head up high.
Until next week be good to one another.

It's the 4th of July weekend. We celebrate the birth of our country. The freedoms we have and hold so dear. We thank God to live in a country that is so blessed. Let us not forget to thank each and every service man and woman who sacrifice in order for us to stay free. But let us also remember the family members they leave behind while they defend our country. Wives, girlfriends, mothers, sisters, brothers, fathers, sons and daughters who's lives would be easier if they were not serving their country. Months sometimes years away from the ones they love, waiting for a letter or some news. And yes sometimes praying to God that they never get that visit from the chaplain. Let's remember ALL of the sacrifice.
Until next week be good to one another.

An old Indian proverb went something like this. If you want to know the measure of a man walk a mile in his moccasins. Journey with me if you will across space and time. To Israel, specifically during the time when Christ walked this Earth among us. It is said that from his very first breath he knew he would be betrayed, tried, found guilty, and ultimately crucified. And while we do not know that to be 100% true, taking into account his divine nature, I'm willing to concede that it probably is true.
Imagine walking through every single day of your life knowing that one day you would be punished and killed even though you had done nothing wrong. And yet he lived his entire life in the service of those that would ultimately end his life. Restoring sight to the blind, healing the sick, comforting those in need, preaching the word of his Father.
The next time you start to wonder how you will ever make it in your daily life with all the pressures that are heaped upon your shoulders, take a moment to walk a mile in his sandals. I'm sure our load will seem a lot lighter.
Until Next week be good to one another.

Take time! Open a book. Relax an enjoy a cup of coffee. Reflect on the past week. In just a few minutes you can change how you see the world around you. Your life is what you make of it. It's like a lump of clay and you are the sculptist. But remember this it's up to you, nobody can do this for you.
Until next week be good to one another.

Father's day. Often a day when the men who means more to us then we could ever show are celebrated. This is an urgent plea from me to you. Take this opportunity to let your Father know just how much he means to you. Don't put it off. Do it today. You never know when you may never get the chance again. You never know, if next year you will be saying Happy Father's Day to a picture of your Dad instead of actually to your Dad. Give him a hug, give him a kiss, tell him you love him, Thank him for all that he has done for you. Then look him in the eyes and tell him Happy Father's Day Dad. The joy you will have given to him will be worth more than all the gold in Fort Knox. And He Deserves it.

I'm not your run of the mill minister. In fact many would say I'm like no minister they have ever come across. I take that as a compliment. I see things my on way I believe what I believe that's just the way it is. I take my ordination very seriously. The act of joining two people in holy matrimony should not be taken lightly. The same as doing a funeral service should not be taken lightly. I can promise you I never will take it lightly. My message for the day is love thy neighbor as thy self. I think these days it should be love thy neighbor more than thy self. We've all become so self involved that everyone else seems to get lost in the shuffle. Humility, let's call that putting the needs of others before our own needs. Jesus did that for us. He needed to go on living, but he allowed himself to be sacrificed for our needs. Noone is asking you to be crucified for anyone else. So is the simple act of putting your family and friends before yourself really to much to ask. In comparison I don't believe it is.

Memorial Day weekend is upon us. A time of reverence and appreciation. A time to remember the ultimate sacrifice that was made and those who made it. Freedom is not free. The price that is paid is extremely expensive. If you enjoy the Freedom you have in this country of ours. Take a moment out of your busy day bow your head and simply say "Thank You " I'm sure the message will get through.
Until next week be good to one another!

Religion is the seeking of God. Many people spend a great many years looking for God, praying to God, seeking God. If they would simply slow down and open their eyes they could see God every single day. God is apparent in his creation. The beauty and wonder of nature is the face of God. Every living soul is a creation of God so when we look at each other we can see God. But we have to open our eyes to the true beauty that's all around us.
Until next week be good to one another! And let God's beauty shine through you so that others might see him.
