Through its facilities, ACT also seeks to strengthen cooperation among non-profits within the community. Funds generated by ACT events will be turned back into the community and the state of Arkansas through grants for artistic organizations and student scholarships. Continuing education and entertainment for all ages will be presented by ACT through professional quality live productions. The stra

tegic building design is such that any type of event for a maximum of 300 people can be accommodated, and the black-box theater allows flexible staging techniques for smaller theater companies. ACT will feature local, regional, and national productions, book readings, private and business events. ACT reserves the right to delete comments that contain profanity, misinformation, or otherwise violate our community standards.

Today marks the first day of performances for ACTing Up, Argenta Contemporary Theatre’s summer youth education program — and we’re thrilled to kick off with Shrek The Musical Jr.!

We are thrilled to have Drew Posey at ACT tonight from 5-8 PM for 3rd Friday Art Walk. Drew is a local scenic designer who’s works are most often seen on stage at Pulaski Academy, Argenta Contemporary Theatre, Actors Theatre of Little Rock, Wildwood, A/MFA, and The Studio Theatre. Drawing and painting are hobbies he enjoys working on in his home studio. His works include many ink drawings he calls micro-renderings, and large paintings that explore his drawings in colorful ways. Please join us in cheering on Sascha Bass and Collin Carlton, Central Arkansas’s Broadway Bound winners, as they arrive in New York City to begin an incredible 10-day journey preparing for their performances in the Jimmy Awards - the high school equivalent to the Tony Awards.

This national stage is where the next generation of musical theatre stars shine — and we couldn’t be more proud to see Sascha and Collin representing our community with such passion and talent.

We’re truly humbled by this recognition and grateful for the continued support of our dedicated staff, passionate volunteers, and the amazing community that fills our seats and fuels our mission.

Tonight's Best of the Best celebration was unforgettable. It was an inspiring night surrounded by so many exceptional Arkansas businesses and creatives. Thank you, AY Magazine for throwing a fantastic party and for spotlighting the people and places that make our state shine.

This honor belongs to all of you. We can’t wait to welcome you back to the theater for another incredible season of storytelling and connection.
