Last nights 4-course French themed dinner was a hit! Steak tartare to start, then the classic coq au vin (red wine braised chicken stew) over creamy mashed potatoes for the main course. Then, per French tradition, followed a cheese course with a truffle cheddar, triple crème Brie, smoked Gouda, Stilton blue cheese, and cranberry cheddar- accompanied by thyme infused honey, red currant jam, and pickled buquino peppers. For dessert, we finished off with a classic custard dessert with pears- pear clafoutis. This is perfect cold weather comfort food-c’est tres bon!
