Northfield Public Library Minnesota's "Glass Half Full" Book Club meets on first Wednesdays at Imminent Brewing to have a low-stakes, casual chat about the monthly title and to sip a drink. The gorgeous new timber frame is up at The Gardens! and WE LOVE IT!

Workshop at The Gardens team has been busy over the last four months harvesting and milling the wood from our beloved Scotch Pine to create the structure's timbers.

Once the structure was up, it was time to add the whetting bush. What's a whetting bush you ask? It's a centuries old tradition in which a branch from the same species of wood the frame is made from is placed at the peak of the structure. It's a symbolic thank you to the tree that was used and brings good luck to all.

Enjoy watching this special moment in the continuing story of The Gardens of Castle Rock.

There's something special about July weddings when everything is lush & green, especially the grape vines in the Lath House. For Rebekah & Matthew, the Lath House was the place where they pledged their forevers to one another as family & friends looked on.
