Texas Trash Dip πŸ§€πŸŒΆοΈ

Ingredients:
- 1 can (16 oz) refried beans
- 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 package (1 oz) taco seasoning mix
- 1 can (4 oz) diced green chilies, undrained
- 1 cup salsa
- 2 cups shredded Mexican blend cheese
- 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 green onions, chopped (optional)
- Fresh cilantro, chopped (optional)
- Tortilla chips, for serving

Directions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the refried beans, cream cheese, sour cream, taco seasoning mix, diced green chilies, and salsa. Mix until well blended.
3. Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
4. Sprinkle the shredded Mexican blend cheese, Monterey Jack cheese, and cheddar cheese evenly over the top of the bean mixture.
5. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
6. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Sprinkle with chopped green onions and fresh cilantro, if desired.
7. Serve warm with tortilla chips.

Texas Sheet Cake ❀

INGREDIENTS
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups white sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
Β½ teaspoon salt
Β½ cup sour cream
2 eggs
1 cup butter
1 cup water
5 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
6 tablespoons milk
5 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
Β½ cup butter
4 cups confectioners' sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup chopped walnuts (Optional)

INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 10x15 inch pan.

Step 2
Combine the flour, sugar, baking soda and salt. Beat in the sour cream and eggs. Set aside. Melt the butter on low in a saucepan, add the water and 5 tablespoons cocoa. Bring mixture to a boil then remove from heat. Allow to cool slightly, then stir cocoa mixture into the egg mixture, mixing until blended.

Step 3
Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Step 4
For the icing: In a large saucepan, combine the milk, 5 tablespoons cocoa and 1/2 cup butter. Bring to a boil, then remove from heat.
Stir in the confectioners' sugar and vanilla, then fold in the nuts, mixing until blended.
Spread frosting over warm cake.

πŸ“ LAYERED SUMMER FRUIT SALAD πŸ“

Ingredients:
2 cups of sliced strawberries
2 cups of blueberries
2 cups of raspberries
2 cups of peeled and sliced kiwi
2 cups of peeled and segmented mandarin oranges
2 cups of sliced bananas
2 cups of diced pineapple
2 cups of halved grapes
1/4 cup of fresh mint leaves
1 cup of vanilla yogurt (optional)
1 tablespoon of honey (optional)
Directions:
In a large glass trifle bowl or serving dish, begin by layering the fruit.
Start with a layer of sliced bananas at the bottom.
Add a layer of pineapple, then strawberries, kiwi, blueberries, mandarin oranges, raspberries, and grapes.
Repeat the layers until all the fruit is used, creating a colorful, layered look.
If desired, drizzle honey over the top and add a dollop of vanilla yogurt.
Garnish with fresh mint leaves and a few whole strawberries on top.
Chill in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes before serving to let the flavors meld.

Cheesy Broccoli and Cauliflower Bake πŸ₯¦πŸ§€
Ingredients:
1 pound broccoli florets
1/2 pound cauliflower florets
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 small yellow onion, finely diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
12 ounces smoked sausage, polish or andouille, sliced into 1-inch rounds
8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature, cut into cubes for easier mixing
1/2 cup mayonnaise, or sub plain yogurt or sour cream
2 cups shredded Mexican blend cheese, divided
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
salt and fresh ground black pepper, to taste
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400˚F and lightly grease a 9Γ—13 baking dish; set aside.
Add water to a large pot, filling it about halfway up, and bring to a boil.
Add broccoli florets and cauliflower florets to the boiling water; bring to a boil and continue to cook for 3 minutes. Drain well and set aside.
In the meantime, add the vegetable oil to a skillet and heat over medium-high heat. Stir in the onions and cook for 2 minutes; add the garlic and cook for 15 seconds.
Then, stir in the smoked sausage and cook for 3 minutes or until browned on all sides. Stir frequently.
Transfer the broccoli, cauliflower, plus sausage mixture to the baking dish.
In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, mayonnaise, 1 cup shredded cheese, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper; mix until thoroughly incorporated.
Stir the cream cheese mixture into the broccoli mixture; stir around until everything is well combined. Add remaining shredded cheese on top.
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until cheese is melted and top is golden brown.
Remove from oven and serve.
