The whole reason why I started this business was because I couldn’t find gifts like this to give my wedding party.

At the time, everything I saw for my bridesmaid proposals were cheaply made and said the word “bridesmaid” on it 🙄 or had to have their name plastered on…

Now, although those things are fun for others, I just wasn’t that bride. I was also.. dare I say… older 🥸 and didn’t want to waste my money on things I knew would be worn or used once.

Nowadays, that stuff exists even more 😂🤣 but at least I’m now here to help the brides like me who want to gift something elevated and beautiful!

Also- our gifts serve multi purpose. This one can be used for a proposal, engagement, birthday, entrepreneurial or even a thank you gift!

Client Gifts, but make them…delicious 🥞

This new collection is inspired by my love for intentional hospitality. After all- we are in the hospitality industry!

Sending a client gift during your onboarding is a fabulous way to welcome new clients into your experience together. They also serve as a means to transform the transactional pieces into excitement and sets the tone for what’s to come working together!

Bur what about branding? Business gifting should be minimally promotional (again, removing the transaction) so when we’re talking branding, let’s make sure it’s subtle and in the form of tags, stationery and packing materials!

L+P has been named one of the Best Innovators on The List for 2024!

Innovator. Wow. What a cool way to kick off our 2024 season.

When L+P was just a no-name hobby back in 2018 I had zero idea what it would evolve into--I thought it would stay a hobby forever honestly. Who could turn gifting into a full time business? People would want to hire me to make gifts for their weddings? No way.
..Yes way.

It's taken 2 part time years plus 4 full time years to build up momentum that included an ebb and flow of wins and setbacks. In many cases, more setbacks than wins but my blind faith had a funny way of helping me persevere through it all. I've gone through a pandemic, a roller coaster market, expensive mistakes, off season dry spells, reading and hearing comments like: "I can do that myself" "you can't ship those" "what a waste of money" "this is just a trend" "(insert competitor) is better" and more ridiculous noise.

In that time, I've also worked my ass off to build a reputation with the best in the industry, worked alongside the most creative people I've ever met and have a support system I never would have dreamed of when I first started. I have nothing without the people that believe in my business and this has lit an even bigger fire in me. To ALL of my clients and customers--thank you for being the match 🔥

Thank you to everyone who nominated L+P when first posted about this, I was absolutely blown away. I wish I could hug every single one of you.

2024 has a lot in store for us and this is just the start of a whole new beginning.

I love adding local products to gifts- it not only allows us to support local small businesses but introduces so many people to the absolute deliciousness that’s out there…

Couples don’t always need to go big or go home with welcome gifts.

Sometimes simple is the way to go 👌🏼 and if simple is the the plan of action- I will always stand by these 3 rules for my clients:

1️⃣ The packaging should always be tasteful, tidy and impactful: because being handed something beautiful will always make someone feel amazing and set the stage. The choice of boxes over bags is always up to my clients and their Planners overall design.

2️⃣ The products: basic room staples like flat waters, an on the go snack (ideally a carb like pretzels or crackers and keep them plain don’t go crazy with flavors) and Advil for the obvious reasons,that’s it.

3️⃣ The paper: the itinerary is a must in my eyes. I mean this with every fiber of my being. You think you won’t need this until Uncle Frank is texting you about shuttle times or people start asking about timelines. No one should deal with this nonsense if it can be avoided.

No matter how “simple” gifting needs are, the process of thinking about what to get, ordering, receiving, assembling and delivering takes up a lot more time then you think (and that’s assuming everything goes right) which is why handling welcome gifts the month of the wedding is NOT ideal for the main characters😅

But it is ideal for your gifting team at L+P 🫶🏻

I want to take a moment to express my sincerest thanks to each and every one of you.

Your trust and support have been the cornerstones of our success, and for that, I am truly grateful. It's been a year of messy challenges and big wins, and your unwavering commitment to champion this business of mine has been one of the major driving forces behind it's continued growth and success. Working with you has not only been a professional pleasure but a personal one as well, as we've built meaningful connections that extend way beyond business.

In this season of thanks, I also want to extend my gratitude to my amazing husband, family and friends. Your love, support and encouragement have been a source of strength and inspiration. Our last wedding of September was truly extraordinary!

From our lovely clients to the powerhouse vendor team (I mean look at the list ⬇️) it was THE BEST way to close out our most eventful month to date!

✨ Wedding Guest Gifting ✨

These gorgeous welcome bags were the perfect kickoff to a stunning wedding at Belle Mer in Newport, RI during Labor Day Weekend!

When designing gifts, we draw inspiration from the venue, working very closely with the Stationery Designer, pulling in the Planners design style and adding in our clients favorite goodies like these mouth watering macarons by 🤍

Swipe and you’ll see S’mores kits by we sourced that guests grabbed at the end of the evening! These cuties were a simple favor that didn’t need any extra packaging, just a pretty display thanks to 🤍

With favors, consumables are the way to go and if you can add to the guest experience let’s go for it 👌🏼 (As soon as we saw the fire pit we knew we had to jump on that 🔥 )

Gifting in the form of welcome gifts, favors or both, are just as important as any other detail in your wedding: keep everything cohesive and add to your guests experience!

Well, hello 👋🏼

If you’re new here, welcome 🫶🏻

I’m Alexandra, the Owner of this wonderful gift company, Lavender + Pine 🤍

I created L+P in 2018 for those who love elevated gifting but don’t have the time or bandwidth to execute at an elevated level.

It’s been a while 🎶 since I did an intro about me and since we have so many new followers- here are some facts:

🧳 I worked the corporate 9am-5pm aka the 7am-9pm in the media industry (no one tells you about that part) for 10 years before I quit to run L+P in the middle of a global pandemic 😅

📍 I live in Norwalk, CT with my wonderful husband, Marc, and rescue 🐶 Callie (who clearly rescued us)

♏️ I’m a spiritual Scorpio who loves all things witchy. Props to mom for getting me my first tarot deck in middle school and not think I would burst into flames

⏰ I’m a productivity nerd: I’ve always loved all things productivity and time management. Now more than ever I’m pressed for time and pulled in 1000 directions and realizing how limited resources are out there for small business owners who where all of the hats. I’m working on a few things to help change that.

📱I hate texting. Always have- maybe T9 just did me dirty but the visceral feeling of disdain I get with autocorrect is just not normal. It’s my #1 biggest distraction (that and social media) as to why nothing gets done. I have emergency calls set of course but this is also why texting is not a part of my business at all (do I sound bitter here 😂)

🤍 I’m ALL for helping people. I’m a doer. A reformed “people pleaser” if you will. Helping people is who I am. In MY business- I will do whatever I can to make things work, whether it’s with me or even if we aren’t the right fit, I’ll point you in the right direction. Being kind, offering help, or even just sharing a tip doesn’t always have to be transactional and that’s unfortunately gotten lost over the years. Of course let’s not mistake kindness for weakness 🛑 there’s always ppl that take advantage but that shouldn’t stop us from helping others that don’t!
