Yesterday we smoked 2-6lb pork butts at 250 for 8.5 hrs when the probe hit 205degrees! (Used the Hickory flavored pellets) This morning I shredded all 12lbs up and now have our first pulled pork experience behind us. Trust me - you want some of this >>>

Our first cook was Traeger’s Chicken Challenge as agreed.... The infamous Traeger Chicken Challenge deal is to put 2 whole chickens in the grill at 375 for 70 minutes....but the challenge is to NOT OPEN THE GRILL til the 70 min expire! However, since we have 4 men to feed in our family (3-19 & 20 yr old college students + myself) we put 3 Chix on the grill. Took 93 min at 375 to get the probe temp to 160degrees. Mmmmmm....juicy & tender just like Mike the Traeger Rep said it would be!
