Robert Brown, also known as DJ SMS passion for music started at a very young age. He grew up playing Percussion instruments, the clarinet, and composing music. Growing up he was influenced by the various types of music he was introduce to while growing up in Los Angeles. While studying music education at San Diego State he was often the one putting music together for local parties and events. As

a DJ, he has studied many DJs in the industry to try and perfect his craft. He is heavily influenced by Disc Jockeys such as DJ Jazzy Jeff, Mr Choc (Beat Junkies), DJ E-Man (Power 106), and DJ Butch (TastyLBC, UTT Crew).

DJ SMS, currently an on air mixer for Santa Maria Based Radio Station, Mega Hits 97.1. The #1 Station in the central coast of California. He continues to play all over Southern California in cities such as Long Beach, Fullerton, Hollywood. In the most recent years he has added other markets such Las Vegas and San Diego.
