SWEET SURRENDER. It’s amazing how much satisfaction can come from simply LETTING GO. Just KNOWING that true strength and satisfaction is in TRUSTING THE PROCESS, (in the gym and in life.) This has been a very hard lesson for me to learn and to be honest, I am still constantly reminding myself to practice what I preach in this aspect. But I’m only human and so are you. The juicy stuff is in the journey, Jilly.

A LOVE LETTER TO MYSELF. I don’t write them often enough. I know this and I say it all the time. Self love is THE REAL LOVE. But damn, if life doesn’t just keep serving up the LESSONS.

LOVING YOURSELF must go beyond loving yourself UNTIL you find a partner. In fact, once you actually find someone you like to pursue a relationship with, that’s when you need to TURN IT UP. TURN UP THAT LOVE FOR YOURSELF.

It’s so easy to get swept away. To rely on someone else’s feelings for you to FEEL LOVED. But the truth is that even in THE MOST secure attachment with a partner, with friends and even with family, your love for yourself, your trust in yourself, your honoring yourself IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PIECE.

IT IS A MIRROR. How you want to be loved, how you WILL BE LOVED, any way you slice it, is going to be a reflection of the way you LOVE AND NURTURE AND HONOR YOURSELF. Consistently.

READ THAT AGAIN AND GO WRITE THAT LOVE LETTER TO YOURSELF. I’m rewriting mine and it starts like this… “Damnnnnnn, Girl!”
