Don’t know if you saw my story this past weekend, but I dropped an announcement. Yes, it’s true. This was my last large wedding (went out with a bang). It’s been wonderful working with all of my fantastic couples for the last 11 years, but it’s time for a change. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Brittany, pronounced with an ittany (let the image of me rapping that to you soak in- you’re welcome).

There are a ton of new faces here that probably have no idea who I am. So I wanted to take this opportunity to show you the human behind Eclectic Branding Co. I started EBC just a few months ago after shooting weddings, portraits and brands for over 11 years-you can see some of my work over . It was time for a change and working with small business owners brings me so much joy!

From the feel of this post, I bet you can gather that I’m a bit of a goofball with a soft spot for old school rap amongst many other genres of music.

This photo was taken of me on a trip to Tulum, Mexico. I love traveling, trying new foods, anything to do with plants, movies, and I’ve been involved in music since a young age. I’ve also been married to an awesome dude for 3 years now and we have two quirky rescue dogs and a fixer upper we’ve been putting our love into for the last few years.

Can’t believe it has been almost one year since doing this body positivity pool party shoot. We all pushed ourselves outside of our comfort zone to show that all bodies are beautiful! This was so much fun and was the perfect excuse to have an actual pool party. Love these bad ass b*tches.

Summertime Barbie.

Hi I’m Brittany. Like most kids, I was OBSESSED with Barbies (and Matchbox cars- but that’s for another time). It wasn’t until 2016 that Mattel finally introduced a Barbie with curves. I have struggled with body issues for as long as I can remember and I can’t help but wonder if there was a Barbie that looked like me when I was growing up, if I would have had more self confidence. Beauty standards for women have always been crazy high. It wasn’t until a few years ago that I really started to feel beautiful on the outside too. I also give kudos to industries that are realizing that the majority of women don’t look like the original Barbie. But the fact that we come in all different shapes, sizes, colors and gender identities make us all beautiful in our own way.

So I’m just here to tell you, that you’re beautiful just the way you are.

Also, I’m leaving that 4th photo here because I totally made over a Barbie or two that ended up looking like Kate McKinnon’s character. You can never take the creative out of me!

It was an honor to capture these maternity photos for my dear friends. I’m beyond excited for these two to become first time parents. And also slightly jealous of how well this kid will be eating.

One of the things I enjoy capturing as a photographer is organic moments. I want family photos to feel warm and fuzzy, but also imperfect. Because let’s face it, life is messy and we’re not perfect. But that’s also really beautiful.

It was so wonderful meeting this family and documenting these moments together.

This rainy wedding day made for some cool photos and also left us all soaked. When we planned out their first looks, we were not expecting downpours. Not pictured: their MOH holding a *tiny* umbrella over our heads to try to save my equipment. Huge props to her! They sure know how to pick a wedding party. 👌🏼
