The Maria Ventura Voice Studio

Maria Ventura, mezzo-soprano, is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio. She is a graduate of CCM, University of Cincinnati and Illinois State University in Voice Performance. She has taught on the voice faculties of the University of Dayton, Miami University in Ohio, Illinois Wesleyan and Illinois State University. A seasoned performer, Maria appeared in leading roles in European and American opera houses,

as well as performing sixteen years with the Forest View Gardens Singers and Orchestra in musical theater concerts. Maria currently teachers voice at Xavier University and was the alto soloist in The Cincinnati Ballet's world premier of Mozart's Requiem, and a soloist in Midsummer Night's Dream. Most recently, Maria performed the role of Mother Abbess in The Sound of Music at The Carnegie, Marcellina in Dayton Opera's The Marriage of Figaro, and Eulalie Mackecknie Shinn, the mayor's wife in The Music Man with Inspiring Arts.
