Stay safe everyone 🙏🏻
Alert regarding incoming storm front on Wednesday. Due to continual rain having saturated the soil and heightened the waterways in the area, the Marin County Fire Department anticipates that the incoming storm front on Wednesday may cause increased rain runoff. Since saturated soil cannot absorb as much rain, localized flooding may occur in some areas.
Here are some tips and resources you may find helpful:

--> Sign up for Alert Marin (if you already have, then please check to make sure your contact information is up to date): https://emergency.marincounty.org/pages/alertmarin
--> Check that your emergency kit is up to date. Rain and strong winds can cause unexpected power outages. Having things like flashlights, spare batteries and extra blankets nearby can go a long way during a winter power outage.
--> Stay home and off the roads as much as possible. If you must drive, use extra caution, allow extra time, slow down, and do not drive through flooded areas. Even just six inches of flood water can strand a car.
