So I did a thing. I sought out to obtain my CF (Certified Florist) by the end of 2022 and God and I made it happen. Last year I asked God to help me push past the fear of not being good enough to reach higher heights in the floral industry in order to better serve my students and clients. He reminded me of my favorite verse — “I can do ALL things through Christ who gives me strength”, so I studied, reviewed, practiced and studied some more…and we did it!

ALL of my life I have struggled with the difference between confidence and arrogance. I always thought that if I had too much confidence that it would appear arrogant and God wouldn’t be pleased with me. That mindset has impacted many areas of my life over the years. But one day in Sunday morning service, my Bishop taught us about “Godfidence”. I can walk boldly into any situation with confidence in GOD, knowing that He is always with me. He will never leave me or forsake me. So my confidence is in Him as He directs my path, as He opens doors for me, as He closes doors that I shouldn’t walk through, as He gives me new and creative ideas. I learned that it was never about me and my confidence in the first place, but it is about my faith and confidence in God to help me through any situation I encounter in life. Thank you Bishop.

Every year I ask God for a word of focus. This year my word is {ACTION}. I spent the last five years planning, organizing, researching, praying, coaching, assisting and studying. All of that is wonderful, but it remains just a dream until I take ACTION. It’s time to stop dreaming, stop talking and walk into the places, spaces and blessings that God has prepared for ME!
