Something I'm learning more about this year is the difference in size of ranunculus corms. They typically come in these 4 size options. I actually placed my order today for ranunculus corms for next year and I made sure almost all are the 5-6cm size or the 7+ size. The smaller sizes do tend to make slightly smaller flowers so when you're shopping for corms see if it says what size they are or ask the seller.
I started all my ranunculus today! My plan is to plant them out in my low tunnels the week of March 3rd.
I'll save my process in a highlight so you can reference it as you're starting your own corms this year.
I'm in zone 5a and I'd say I'm slightly ahead of schedule/optimistic with my timeline. If you don't want to cover and uncover plants with plastic and frost cloth, you can probably start your corms about a month from now!
