Check out this recording from my LIVE DJ set at Rainbow's End Festival 2022!

This Disco Pool Party (aka Pond Party) at Rainbow's End Festival in Nevada City, California was one for the books! Wow, what a lovely afternoon full of a fantastic music selection from a lineup of 5 amazing DJs. My heart was bursting at the seams to see so many of my dearest friends dancing in the sunshine, floating in the water and slack lining high above the pond.

I was dressed up like a Disco Pirate (of course), and towards the end of my set, Jordan Brown (dressed up like a Dream Captain (NOT Planned!) got behind the decks with me for a fantastic B2B sesh. Jordan Brown + Dusty Beez = "Cool Breeze".

We had so much fun clowning around and battling at the helm for control of the USS Dancefloor!

After the sun set, we faded the music and went indoors to continue to party all night long. Before I knew it, I found myself spinning records with the homies until 11am before finally taking a "Disco Nap."

Eureka! There really is gold at the end of the rainbow.

Check out the recording from my LIVE DJ set at Teleport Art Car Festival!

Playing here was an absolute blast! So grateful for the invitation to DJ out here in the Mojave Desert, what a well orchestrated festival. And it was so fun to see all my SoCal friends! I love electronic dance music, this was a dream come true to play on this killer sound system aboard the beautifully designed The Giving Tree Art Car. It was absolute magic to see everyone dance and groove into the desert night!

I had prepared a 90 minute set of dreamy, positive, sunshine tunes expecting that I'd be playing in the heat of the day until sunset for a bunch of weary travelers who'd be building shade structures and pitching tents.

But the sound system had some technical difficulties, so all the time slots were shifted back. I ended up playing a full 2 hour set right after the sunset. People were ready to dance, so I mostly improvised on the fly to accommodate a much higher BPM & energy level than anticipated. It was hella fun to blast some badass bass lines on this sound system. The last few tracks, I brought the vibe back into a disco groove for a smooth transition into DJ Voy Age's set.

Conditions were brutal with 40mph+ wind gusts and 100F+ temps in the daytime, but years of Burning Man events taught me to stay in the shade all day and party all night!

Teleport Art Car Festival was an absolute blast! So grateful for the invitation to DJ out here in the Mojave Desert, what a well orchestrated festival. And it was so fun to see all my SoCal friends! I

I recorded this live mix only knowing what tracks I would begin with and end with. I left the rest up to creative improvisation in the moment.

At the time of recording, the energy in the world was intense and stressful - economic downturn, a public health pandemic, racial injustice, and political turmoil. But I still show up to the decks to express myself - to enjoy playing and sharing the music that I love.

I hope you dig these eclectic tunes, a compilation of some of my favorite tracks new and (g)old. Ranging across the emotional spectrum from joyful to dark, from sensual to dreamy. With everything woven together by a groovy thread of dancy beats to empower you to dance and move this summer - regardless of your external circumstances. Be kind. Stay positive.

In September 2019, to commemorate my 30th birthday, I curated a dance music mix of some of my favorite tracks new and old. The premise of the project was weaving together the story of my life's journey and an emotional narrative of my lifelong exploration of music.

Kicking it off with Black Box's "Ride on Time" - a controversial track that reached #1 on the charts the day that I was born: September 11, 1989.
I included dance music covers of classic rock and 80's hits to invoke a sweet nostalgia for my early influences. I also pay tribute to memories of my soul searching world travels and other precious moments from musical journeys at Burning Man and early raves.

Enjoy the mix! I hope it inspires you to dance, DJ, run, bike, surf, make art, chef healthy food, drive fast, kiss your lover, and connect with your friends. Most of all, I hope this mix inspires you to be creative, persistent, and do things you never thought you could do.
