Summer ‘23 Recap 🇬🇧🇪🇸

I had the opportunity to visit London, Madrid, and Barcelona this summer. Eating great food while exploring the cultures and meeting amazing people, passionate about what they do. It was an eye opening experience and had a strong impact on me to see different ways of life. This trip will always be remembered and cherished. I’m looking forward to to bringing this knowledge back to implement and share.

RJ’s Recipes Announcement 📣🚨

RJ's Recipes will be putting a temporary pause on some of our services - weekly Meal Deliveries will not be offered at this time. We will still be providing mobile catering services; please send inquiries through email. The reasoning behind this decision is that I (RJ) will be expanding my Culinary and Business Management knowledge by studying for a BA in Culinary Arts and Sciences at Drexel University in Philadelphia. RJ's Recipes has built a strong and talented team but is a very personal project to me. I would like to stay involved as I take pride in the food that we make, in the name that we have built, and would like to maintain that.

I thank you all for your ongoing dedication and support - there is so much left to see of us! I look forward to what the future holds and more great food. Stay tuned for what we are doing next!

Today we were able to make a donation of 50 chef- curated meals to the The East Oakland Collective along with a $100 contribution to assist them giving back fresh meals to the underserved East Oakland Community.

We are glad to have had this opportunity, this would not have been possible without everyone’s support and donations at our Black History Month Fundraiser. Big thanks to Thats That Batch for the amazing desserts and support.

Thanks to everyone who showed out for our Black History Month Fundraiser! 🇯🇲 The Patties and Cheesecakes were a huge hit and were able to serve about a hundred people around 215 patties in 3 hours along with delicious desserts by ! Most importantly we raised over $300 to donate toward the

We will be donating around 35 meals (over $200 value) and $100 cash donation for the East Oakland collective to help provide the resources to give out nutritious meals and necessities to those in need in the East Oakland community. This is ON TOP of the direct donations that we had sent to the EOC by many! We couldn't be more grateful for all the support to this amazing cause and turn out at the event. Tomorrow, February 1st marks the first day of Black History Month! We are excited to invite you to join us on Sunday, February 13th 📅 from 1 - 3 pm to celebrate black history and enjoy delicious food and baked goods. We will be serving FREE Jamaican Patties 🇯🇲 and treats brought to you by That Batch 🧁. These local chefs are collaborating with the East Oakland Collective, an Oakland organization that provides mutual aid to Oakland residents in need of additional support. All funds to donate and fund the event will be raised through optional donations.

Thanks to everyone for coming out and Celebrating the first day of Hanukkah with us yesterday over our latkes and home made applesauce🕎 There was a big turnout and it is always good to see so many familiar faces. We were able to raise $200 for the National Black Food and Farmers Association through all donations! This would not have been possible without all of you. Hanukkah Sameach! 🕎🌞

RJ’s Recipes will be having a pop-up kitchen on Saturday, June 26th at Lake Merritt in Oakland from 3 until sold out. We will be located near Empowerment Park (462 Bellevue Ave) across from Ahn’s Burgers. 📍

We will be serving New Orleans gumbo and a plant based version for our vegetarian/vegan customers. 🤤
