Back from 3 weeks in Thailand where i spent the first week studying with a master Thai vegan chef and was then put in her restaurant at the wok to cook dish after dish after dish for their clientele. Incredible experience for me!

Thursday evening, September 19 at Wyldflowr Arts, as part of the Thursday night concert series, presented by RootStock Arts, i will have strawberry -coconut ice cream (Cashew base) with chocolate waffle cones and a concert by Francis Wong on saxophones, Erika Oba on flute and piano, Trinidad on electric bass and Carrie Jahde on drums playing the music of Glenn Horiuchi!

This is an amazing concert series presented by RootStock Arts and this week we are featuring my friend, Raffi Garabedian's new 4tet with the incredible bass player, Lisa Mezzacappa, drummer, Sameer Gupta and a keyboard player that i am not yet familiar with.

Celebrating 20 years as a chef, this weekend! And 20 years of hosting dinners with world renowned musicians in my loft in West Oakland. Can fairly confidently say that this is the longest running underground restaurant!!
